Hello everyone! I just want to say thank you to my followers and past clients and anyone who has supported me on this business endeavor. When I started Girl With The Most Cake Events, I had SO MUCH envisioned. I wanted to truly help couples have the best day ever and make them memorable. But as time has gone on, and going through a pandemic, a lot changed of course. And to be honest, I had doubts a lot whether or not I should continue with this choice of business, because it felt like the world would never truly go back to "normal." But, over time, it is now apparent events are happening every day, all the time, once again. And I have new ideas and things I'd love to help make happen, but sadly I do not think Tulsa is the place for what I envision. If you look at any of the inspiration posts I have made, I can only say I have worked a small handful of weddings where I truly loved the aesthetic and felt like I was doing exactly what I was meant to do! And as much as I absolutely ADORE/OBSESS over planning and coordinating events, I have come to realize it is actually quite more than that. I want to be a part of the design process. Helping choosing which colors, fabrics, signage and more unique decor ideas. I want to travel, and I would really enjoy doing elopements! I am also tired (SO tired) of being constantly ghosted when I put so much effort, heart, and my soul into what I do. I just want MORE out of this. So, with all of that said, I am deciding to take a hiatus from this field. It's been fun, and I hope to eventually re-connect my love for it. But right now, I am finding it hard to feel 100% in it, and any client of mine does not deserve that. But also, If you happen to be looking for a coordinator or planner for your event, and you DO want to collaborate or need design help, I would would definitely be interested in speaking with you!!

🌼 wedding inspo/appreciation post! 🌼 As I've mentioned probably many times before, I love anything and everything Wes Anderson. So when I stumbled across this Texas wedding on Pinterest, well, I HAD to share! This particular wedding decor had a Moonrise Kingdom/whimsical design and I just can't..........The custom seating chart is probably my favorite thing! (first photo) But the green colors, pennant flags and the "whimsy camp" vibes....I could go on forever. Loving these photos from a modern twist of a traditional Moroccan wedding! 🍉 The vibrant colors and art, custom watermelon cocktail bar, handmade signage and henna! 🍉
As a wedding coordinator/planner, I enjoy learning about all the different wedding traditions. For this Moroccan ceremony, the guests passed around the couple’s rings in a small ceramic tajine and each made a wish as they held the box in their hands. I think that is such a special way to send your love to the newlyweds! ☀️ 🐚🍹

Get creative and personal with it, or even find a second use out of them (ex. flower seed packets with names/seating that also doubles as a wedding favor!) I wanted to start sharing some of the more unthought of / non typical venues we have here in Tulsa/surrounding areas, for the couples who are looking for something a bit different or unique. So I'd like to kick my first post off with The historic and quirky Spotlight Theatre! 🎭🎟️
The Tulsa Spotlight Theatre will forever hold a dear place in my heart, because not only did I grow up attending the children's theatre performances, but it's also where I got married! YES! IT IS A VENUE!
Once touring the building, I knew right away we had to get married there!
From the kitschy skating rink-style carpet, to the iconic giant circle window with the beautiful art deco chandelier hanging above, this place has it all. (I mean, my "bridal suite" was the girls costume room back stage-wigs and all! so fun!) PLUS you get to be married on the stage (if you prefer) which is exciting! Some cool facts- The Spotlight Theatre is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places, and was designed by famous architect Bruce Goff. Built in 1928, it is home to the weekly Saturday night play, The Drunkard and Olio, which has been ongoing since 1953!!! (and I also highly suggest checking that out sometime!!)
If you love history, art deco, kitsch and just out there/non traditional wedding venue spaces, Spotlight Theatre could be for you!
