We ❤️ Teachers: Part 2
As I sent my kids into school today with their homemade wreaths for each of them to gift to their teachers, their faces lit up so bright and so proud to be able to give them something so special that they helped create.
Their teachers are a huge part of their lives and the kids wanted to make sure their teachers felt loved and appreciated for all the things they did every single day! We appreciate them more than words can describe. Here’s to the true heroes in our community! 💖📚

🌟 We're taking a trip down memory lane today…
👰 To our very first wedding arch! Flashing back to where it all began and revisiting the beginning of our journey into the wedding world, we just didn’t know it quite yet. 🙃
👉 Our first arch holds a lot of sentiment as it was designed and made with a lot of love for my brother and sister in law’s February wedding. At the time, I was in my prime making wreaths when they asked me to create floral pieces for their wedding arch they were going to use in their wedding ceremony….which took place in a Warbird Airplane Hangar! How cool, right!
Talk about pressure…the decor in their ceremony that would forever be in the background of their wedding pictures. 😳 I embraced the challenge but couldn’t have possibly said no….and with a little bit of sweat, tears (not really), and a lot of anxiety, it came to fruition! For my first try, I couldn’t have been more proud of how it all turned out-the bride and groom were happy too!
Little did I know that arch was planting a seed, providing a glimpse into my future, a foreshadowing if you will, to the start of Sustainably Blossomed!

I don’t share my home life often and like to keep my family life private, but I like to share my story in hopes I can inspire someone, just one person would make it all worth it. Here’s my story:
Born and raised in Libertyville, Illinois + now living and raising my 3 kids with my husband in the same little town that I grew up in is a dream come true.
I discovered my love of floral design during Covid when I started making wreaths. I was out shopping for a wreath and could not find anything that fit my style... a lightbulb went off! I bought a wreath-making book, made a wreath and I LOVED it...my lil wreath business, Howling Rooster Co was born! I made a few more wreaths, started to market locally, and did a craft show here and there. This past summer, I was ready to take my self taught floral design skills to the next level…in comes Sustainably Blossomed!
Wreaths came during a time in my life where I needed to find me again. I love my children dearly, but it also became apparent that I had lost myself with the daily ins and outs of being a mother and the isolation of Covid. Over two years later, I’ve now realized that floral design is my passion. It has allowed me to find a whole new (and better) version of myself, given me therapeutic and creative outlets, and opened a whole lot of new and exciting doors for me. Parties and weddings are my favorite events to design for. Being able to create beauty and help set the mood for someone’s very special day brings me so much joy.
I stumbled upon floral design pretty randomly, took a risk or two and here I am….it’s never too late to try something new. Our biggest risks can turn into our biggest adventures….and I’m so grateful to be starting this adventure with Sustainably Blossomed!
