All the riders who want to participate in upcoming Road National Championship for the year 2024-25, kindly fill in the form attached. The last date of filling the form is 25th of Oct 2024. The dates and venue of the trials for short listing the team shall be announced soon.
Please note that riders should have worthy equipment to participate in their relevant event, for example a Road bike to participate in the Mass start event.

Authorised Events: Your Ticket to a Great Ride

Authorised events are officially approved by the Himcycling Association, the official CFI affiliate for Himachal Pradesh. These events prioritise your safety by adhering to established guidelines, including:

- Qualified Personnel: Trained marshals and medical support staff are present to ensure your well-being throughout the event.
- Designated Routes: Safe and clearly marked routes minimize traffic disruptions and ensure a smooth ride.

Why Choose Sanctioned Events?

By participating in Authorised events, you benefit from:

Peace of Mind: Knowing you're covered by safety measures and insurance allows you to focus on enjoying the ride.
Organized Experience: Authorised events are well-managed, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.

Be Wary of Unauthorized Events

There may be instances of unauthorized cycling events being organized. These events often lack essential safety precautions, insurance coverage, and may disregard traffic regulations.

The Himcycling strongly advises against participating in such events, as they pose a significant risk to yourself and other participants.

Himachal's cycling contingent made a resounding impact at the recently concluded National MTB Championship at Panchkula, Haryana, returning home with a stellar medal haul. The team showcased exceptional talent, grit, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on the competition.

Leading the charge was Ashish Sherpa, securing a well-fought Silver Medal in the Under-23 XCO event. Sherpa displayed impressive riding prowess, navigating the demanding course with skill and determination. His silver medal is a testament to his dedication and serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring young riders in the state.

Joining Sherpa on the podium was teammate Kanishk Sharma, who secured a commendable Bronze Medal in the same Under-23 XCO event. Sharma's performance highlights the depth of talent within the Himachal team and his unwavering determination on the race course.

Yugal Thakur, hailing from Shimla, further solidified Himachal's dominance in the Sub-Junior category. This rising star secured an impressive double podium finish, claiming Bronze Medals in both the Cross Country Time Trial (XCT) and XCO events. Thakur's raw power, precise pacing, and exceptional riding skills were on full display throughout the competition.

“We are incredibly proud of the entire team's performance at this national Championship,” said Devender Thakur, Coach of Team Himachal. “Their dedication, talent, and teamwork have truly paid off. These medals are not only a personal accomplishment for each rider but also a significant achievement for the cycling scene in Himachal Pradesh.”

This remarkable medal haul signifies the growing strength of Himachal's cycling talent. The team's success serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring young cyclists across the state and showcases the potential for even greater achievements in the future.
