Hello lovely people! Thought I'd pop myself on the grid again and say hi as it's been a while.

How are you? I'm noticing a nip in the air today and the wooly jumpers have finally made it out of the wardrobe. Autumn for me means that life starts to slow down a little after a whirlwind of beautiful weddings, family photoshoots, and the school holidays. As usual, it's been a blast because I have the best job in the world, but I am looking forward to a bit of calmness, meeting new couples, and getting myself ready for 2024. This slower pace doesn't mean lots of tea and Netflix (although very tempting), it just means that I have more time to work on my business and personal growth (and listen to the radio - big up 6 music!). I am super grateful to be a part of this amazing industry!

II From the Ground, up II

Dry hire - this means, quite literally, starting from scratch. A completely empty space being built from the depths of your imagination, and I think this one exceeded all of our expectations.
Venue hire, furniture, decor. All sourced independently. Multiple floor plans created until this perfectly placed one took the reigns!
It was such a joy pulling this together!

Working with Matt & Martine was just incredible; Matt being the logistics and Martine being the creative. A match made in heaven!

It's been a minute, hasn't it!? Just dropping by to say hey!

I've been speaking to some lovely couples lately, and the one common theme is that, they've booked everything they need but they're not sure how to piece it together.. have I covered all angles!? Have I asked the right questions!? What am I missing!?

I can work in many different ways; whether that's full planning from start to finish, partial planning with on-the-day Management or just on-the-day Management. I also offer an advisory service, in which I can create the right questions to ask for all of your suppliers and a step-by-step breakdown leading up to the Wedding!

One of my lovely suppliers! Bedfordshire based.

So many of you wonderful new Mama's weren't able to share such an exciting time with those you loved in that all important baby shower, over the past few years ❤️

Betty's Vintage Tea has the perfect alternative in the form of a sip & see. This wonderful idea falls under the tradition of after the baby is born and a chance to meet the new addition!

Betty is hiring out a full selection of China to host the occasion. Add your own cute little delectable sandwiches, cakes, scones, cream & jam. An array of different teas plus the all important glass of champers to toast!
.and then open it all up by chucking the kids out and turning it into a cocktail party, seeing as drinking isn't an issue for this type of event (just a suggestion!?)
You'll find me sipping mojitos from my teapot, thanks 🫖 🍃

They are so in love. It's hard to explain without you having been there. I cried for most of it, whilst putting out the table favours and table plans; tears everywhere!

Wishing Josh & Hannah the most gorgeous life together. An already perfect couple proclaiming their love infront of all who love them (including me!)

It's hard to know whether saying 'let's take the positive from this' is really a way to justify it anymore.

Uncapped numbers in Weddings but we still need to socially distance.. so numbers still need to be halved or lowered to accommodate that rule.

We STILL have to sit down through an OUTDOOR drinks reception.. eh!?

No dancing - so, more deposits lost due to pointless live music. Let's keep it real in saying weddings are there to be danced at 💃🏻

Marquees full of football fans with 10 to a table and no social distancing for the next few weeks isn't an issue, right?

Sending love to my couples and friends - so happy to be going ahead as love really does conquer all, but uncapping numbers doesn't mean amends have been made.

Hannah & Josh will be getting married here this August and I'm incredibly excited to be working with them!

II Happy Days II

What a gorgeous little lady!
As I was setting up this ceremony, I was incredibly conscious about the backdrop and how it would work with the photos and tipi - there are so many aspects to think about. As a planner, it's important to make sure all of those designs marry (no pun intended!)

I love this shot - so much detail adorns this beautiful photograph; from the aisle, to the chiavari chairs, shepherds hooks detailing the walkway, peeks of the ceremony arch and all the way through to the stunning structure - it just works!

You can say I do anywhere, whether that's in the form of an outdoor blessing, like this gorgeous couple, or in the surroundings of your chosen venue.

I definitely needed to see some sort of blue skies today and there's no better memory than this one!

I loved setting this ceremony up, I remember a warm breeze lightly floating across the lake with open fields reaching for miles and the greenery of Tip Top Venues stunning woodland.. I had to pinch myself a little! Absolutely one of the most beautiful backdrops you could find ❤️

This is always one of my favourite moments! That first introduction.. Mr & Mrs Filby

I'd been working for Helen for a while, so was absolutely honoured to work as On-the-day Management for this amazing couple. It was GO GO GO from the moment I arrived; finishing setting up the marquees, to liaising with all of the wonderful suppliers who brought this day to life!

This Wedding was incredible! From capacity, to venue, to multiple marquees and a guest list which raised the roof full of love & dancing!

Country Tipis provided their mega structures - tipi on arrival for the reception drinks and canapés provided by Hungry Hog BBQ (yum!)

Followed by this show stopper of the naked tipi; as night drew in and the fairy lights shone across the open lake, it became quite the feature!

Lastly but by no means least, was the Celeste marquee, which housed the Wedding breakfast, speeches, casino entertainment, stilt walkers, saxonophist DomplaysSax (whom I can highly recommend!), DJ extraordinaries K & P Events and an incredible band 🎸

Tip Top Venues is just one-of-a-kind to host any occasion in, with the most stunning lake as your backdrop!

One of my favourite things to create with any couple, are your place settings!

Sophisticated yet uncomplicated is this gorgeous setting - dusky blue tones amid blushes of pink & gold with hues of florally stemmed greens. Perfect!
