AT ALAUSA SECRETARIAT BUSSTOP OUTWARD LAGOS ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY
It was not funny yesterday, the sixth day into December 2024, at the Alausa Secretariat busstop, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, outward Lagos, when some suspected Yahoo boys gang with two vehicles, one Toyota Venza saloon car parked close to the pedestrian bridge awaiting passengers coming down from the stairway, while the second was waiting to pick those joining from either Magodo Estate or Ikosi road, going to Mowe- Shagamu.
An intelligence personnel in m***i while coming down the stairway saw the suspected Venza saloon car positioned close to the pedestrian bridge. The seat beside the driver was vacant, while one was vacant too at the back seat, as the driver was calling Mowe- Shagamu. All the passengers on board on both vehicles were at the same sitting position, and are all with dreaded locked hairs.
The suspicion aggravated when he realised that the Venza saloon car windows were all wound down not to allow victims know that the glasses are all tinted, including the ones behind.
The intelligence Personnel quickly called the attention of the Neighborhood watch personnel around to notice the two vehicles' similarity, and the garage Touts attention were drawn to it too.
The moment the boys on board realised that people had started mumuring to passengers to avoid their vehicles, they zoomed off immediately.
Later, one of the garage touts opened up on how he was shown a pistol last month from the driver's side of one of such vehicles, as a warning not to keep people away from boarding their vehicles again, as he was noticed winking his eyes to passengers to avoid their vehicles.
The attention of the authority concerned has been drawn to this since yesterday, so that uniformed personnels on m***i can be stationed in all busstops along Lagos Ibadan expressway.
Serious follow up is ongoing to see that this is really carried out.
