Had the time of my life playing at Techno Diatom this weekend. I was nervous before playing because I expected the club to be full with hundreds of people in attendance. Honestly it felt like the first time I ever played in a club. Fear, excitement and adrenaline all mixed together.
But if there’s anything I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that fear can be your best friend. That slight tingling of anxiety in anticipation of an important event that you’ve prepared for can be the best feeling ever. If you embrace it, it will likely turn into a memory that you will never forget.
It definitely helped to have a lot of friends in attendance who showed their support and made me feel super comfortable. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did. There is no feeling that compares with playing the music you love and sharing the energy and emotion with all those people who are dancing with you.
Big shoutout to Thomas Rob, Allexandra, Gruell and Michael Ius for keeping us all dancing until 10am with some proper tunes.
