We've had a heartbreaking start to 2024 at The Doctors' Flowers 💔 Our beautiful fur baby Dixie passed away suddenly last week. The Doctors' Flowers would not have existed had it not been for her. As Autistics, she was not just our fur baby, but our family's disability assistance animal. Her passing has left a gaping hole in our hearts.
Please give your fur babies + human babies an extra hug tonight in honour of Dixie 🐾

Why do the Doctors champion Dahlias for Valentine's Day?

Well for one thing, they're stunning 💕

For another, we can guarantee they're grown right here in Victoria - whereas most Roses are imported to Australia from Ecuador or Kenya for Valentine's Day 🇦🇺

And lastly, they're just a nice change up from the tradition of Roses, which can be seen as a bit of a cliche by some of our customers who are looking for something a bit more unique to express their love 💞

NEW YEAR, NEW US - EXCITING NEWS!

You might have noticed The Doctors were closed a little longer than we planned over summer - that's because we were working on a big surprise for you!

We've given our store a huge Makeover, it's now even more spacious and beautiful (pics to come)

But that's not all - we undertook this Makeover so we can TEACH CLASSES THIS YEAR! That's right, classes!

Some of you might remember that we ran some Kids Classes when we first opened that were very popular, but then Covid hit right as we were about to launch our adult classes.

So this year we'll be offering both Adults and Kids classes on a range of topics, including Fresh Flower arranging, Dried Flowers and Pressed Flowers.

There'll also be potential to book 1:1 masterclasses with Dr Isabelle, or Private group workshops for celebrations.

Kids classes will mostly run in School Holidays (co-taught by the Doctors' 5yo daughter Rosie 👱‍♀️🌹), while 1.5-2hr Adult workshops may run in evenings/after work (with 🍾🍷🍹), Weekday mornings, Sunday afternoons, or Saturdays during Autumn/Winter.

We'd love you to tell us what topics interest you most and what times you'd like to attend classes/workshops to help us arrange the schedule! Please comment below or DM us with your preferences!

We've been feeling a bit overwhelmed at The Doctors' Flowers. It's been a long, hard year for us, and we know it has been for many of our customers too.

As a way to try to reduce our sensory overload and overstimulation, we've started to reduce the number of accounts we follow on Instagram.

We sincerely hope no-one will be offended if we have unfollowed their account - it doesn't mean we don't love your work, it's just our ADHD + Autistic brains need less stimulating, for fear of
