🚨🎤 Exciting News! 🎤🚨 The finalists for the second Great Route 66 Talent Search are here and ready to shine! Catch their performances this Saturday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Historic Shrine Mosque (601 E. St. Louis) during the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival in Springfield.

The show kicks off with a special performance by Jessie Cowen and 417 Aerial. The top two winners in both the amateur and professional categories will receive a front-of-the-line pass for a video audition with NBC’s America’s Got Talent!

Shoutout to last year’s winners Brecka Henderson and Vic Vaughan—AGT producers are in touch with festival organizers to schedule their auditions. This festival is the first to offer pre-screened contestants for AGT, highlighting the incredible talent here in the Ozarks.

Look to the sky this year for two Stearman Formation Pilots to kick off the festival on Thursday and fly over the parade on Friday. Pilot Rod Hightower and a fellow Stearman pilot will perform their flyovers in two vintage World War II biplanes at the following times:

3:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Site Preparation: Hanging banners, setting tables and chairs, and prepping for beer sales.
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM: All-City Rotary Social & Birthplace of Route 66 Festival Parade.
7:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Clean-Up.

Saturday, August 10:
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM: Site Preparation.
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Car Show, Band Performances, Local Food, Yard Games
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Clean-Up.
