Through a Christmas gift program that the Greene County Veterans Service Agency set up for Veterans; Squadron 291 & Auxiliary Unit 291 purchased 22 Fire TV Sticks that were gifted to long term patients at the VA Hospital.

It is a tremendous victory in Congress to see the long-lasting bipartisan fight successfully overturn the federal restriction to allow whole and two-percent milk back in New York schools. I am relieved the milk ban, solely enacted on disinformation during the Obama Administration, will give our local dairy farmers hope for the future of their businesses. They took the weight of the restriction and today, everyone wins. Thank you to each of my colleagues for their support leading up to our victory

HOME RUN FOR NY FAMERS, ‘WHOLE MILK BACK IN SCHOOLS’ PASSES CONGRESS

We are pleased to announce this year's Sullivan-Teator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 770 Teacher Award recipient Matt Luvera! We chose Matt as our Post's recipient because of his dedicated work teaching previously at Catskill Elementary School and now at Catskill Middle School where he always finds ways to weave military service into his lesson plans. In fact you can see in the attached picture, where Matt is seen with both our Post Commander and Post Quartermaster, Matt is wearing a tie in honor of Pearl Harbor Day which he incorporated into his day's lessons. Matt has also been instrumental in assisting our Post through his position as a Greene County Legislator for the Town of Catskill and also is a member of the Catskill Patriotic Committee which resurrected the Catskill Memorial Day Parade this past year. Matt's award submission will now continue on to the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW- New York level where he will compete against every other Teacher Award winner in the state.
