Brides, what are your proposal stories? I love hearing all the different ways your Groom popped the question. I just love love 🥰

Funny fact for me and my groom, I got 2 proposals! Both were perfect in their own ways. Avery first proposed to me about 10 minutes after I graduated from undergrad at the University of Mobile. We were surrounded by our families and he pretended we were taking a silly picture. It was then that he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I had no idea it was happening and I boohooed like crazy.

Since timing is crucial, the timing of the first proposal just wasn’t right. So 4 years later, he proposed again! We went for a date night of sushi and axe throwing, and we planned to go watch a movie after at his house. I thought he was acting a little suspicious but really didn’t think much of it. When we arrived at his house (our future home), he had a pathway of roses leading up to a circle of candles. He had the beginning scene of Sweet Home Alabama playing and got down on one knee and asked me to finally become his wife. I was so surprised! It was intimate and had all the perfect details. AND my ring is beautiful!

Happy Thursday! I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and tell you all a little about KTuck Creations.

My name is Kaitlyn McCrury, I am the owner and event planner. This is my husband and sidekick, Avery McCrury. We got married 2 months ago at Magnolia Grave Ranch in Leonard, Tx. So we are enjoying newlywed life! We have a golden doodle named Lady and an orange tabby cat named Weasley who are spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. When we’re not planning parties, we are binge watching Netflix, watching movies, or playing games. I am a huge reader and will finish books while he plays 2K or shoots hoops. We are huge Harry Potter and Marvel nerds and love to find and try new GF recipes!

I decided to create KTuck Creations while I was planning our wedding. Avery and my mom commented on how easy wedding planning was for me and it gave me the dream to plan weddings or events for other people! I love to hear ideas or dreams and help make each one come to life. I am passionate about creating an experience from start to end that engages all in attendance. I love being creative, thinking outside the box, and doing many DIYs. I’ve always been organized and have always found it easy to plan. The dream of being an event planner started in 2016 and I am thrilled that it’s becoming a reality in 2021.

Why start an event planning business while we’re still in a pandemic, you ask? I got married during the pandemic and I know so many other couples who have done the same. Life doesn’t stop and if you are one that is brave enough to face the Covid Wedding Planning stress, than I am here for you! I am ready to help with all the Covid guidelines and still help make your day special. Besides that, I believe that we should still be making the best of our lives everyday. Memories can still be made and fun can still be had. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that life is short and our dreams shouldn’t be stopped. This is why I am hoping to make dreams into realities.
