$25 from every ticket sold is donated and 100% of proceeds collected at Saturday night’s Silent auction is also donated to the Tiba foundation and Boda girls.
Here are a few ways donations make a difference:
- $200 pays for a team of Boda Girls and a sonographer to go to a outlying area and provide free ultrasounds to pregnant mothers
- $100 pay for a Boda Girls driving class and test and license (As the first women drivers, and for safety from police harassment it is important they can have a license)
- $50 pays for 5 “kitchen gardens” Boda Girls take plantings for a “kitchen garden” to a new mothers home and helps them plant nutritious food for their family. They plant an avocado tree and dedicate it to the child. These trees will provide food for the family and the mother can sell for extra cash.
- $30 pays for two Boda Girls to visit an outlying school, teach the girls about sexual reproductive health and give the sustainable menstrual kits so they can stay in school.

Boda Girls pledge to empower women in their communities. The first female motorcycle taxi owners/drivers in rural Kenya, they give women free rides to the hospital for preventative care and support girls’ education.
