Helloooooo! Did you guys miss me??? Please say yessss! I was totally off pursuing my big dreams and then I realized that I was forgetting this one here, and it’s such a big dream too: making Love is In the Jar remembered, desired, loved by making someone’s day, every day.
Like spring, that make our days beautiful every time we look through the window or go walk outside.

Oh Gosh, now I realize how behind I am with Olivia’s journey and my Advent Calendar. But she still playing around and doing her tricks.

Day 11: two days ago she changed the room and went to my bedroom. I said to her that was not a good place to watch the kids but she didn’t change her plans. I think she was just amazed with my fig tree and decided to joined her at my desk.

This little fig tree was bought months ago and a struggles to find a place that she really enjoyed. She lost some leaves, got down, and I was so frustrated! But as soon I put her on that place with more light at the southern position of my house she started to thrive. She is happy and I am super excited!

When a plant starts to get down it can be a lot of factors: water amount, humidity, light... don’t give up, try to change positions, adjust some things, see how it respond to it. Plants are living beings, and like us, sometimes they just need some adjustments and they will be all right! 😉

It was not on our plans to have another type of Christmas basket... but, you know, if someone asks for something different, we just say yes!!!

What do we have here? The best trio of the world in cute mason jars (tapenade, caponata, confit)+ mini toasts + a mini chocotone! It’s just perfect.

Day 10! Yesterday Olivia spent the entire day chatting with the gnome! Well, both are Santa Helpers so I think they have a lot to talk, they asked me for a beer, for their happy hour, and I asked if it’s allowed, I don’t think Santa knows... and they changed the subject. 🤔🤔🤔

Well, my weirdo succulent was part of the conversation, but she was used as a coffee table, and she didn’t realized it. Poor thing.

A reminder here! The succulent is mine, Olivia belongs to Santa, but the gnome is totally available to be on your basket or with your flowers as a gift!

Panetone!!! Every year, since I was a kid, I wait for the holidays season to have panetone, as much as I can. I can eat fresh, or toasted, with cinnamon, with butter, no matter how! Love, love, love it!

Day 9 of our Advent Calendar. Olivia is recovering from the cactus episode yesterday. I told her that she needs to relax and she put a hammock on my Monstera and is chilling for today.
She is smart, huh?

By the way, my Monstera is thriving this winter, I saw 2 baby leaves and I’m thrilled about it! She is getting bigger and bigger, it’s truly amazing! 🥰🥰🌿🌱

Yesterday was the Day 6 of our Advent Calendar! Olivia decided to go to the top to have a better view of my kids. She tried to hide herself behind my large pothos but she got caught! I keep telling her that her outfit doesn’t help, but she is not a low profile elf, you know?

This pothos is my love! I got it when I moved to US almost 3 years ago and she got through a lot and still beautiful and happy. ❤️

Day 6 of Olivia Azambuja here was so much fun! Yesterday she tried some poll dance moves on the lucky bamboo and she did it pretty good.
She remind me that I have to change they bamboo water too. Taking care of bamboo is so easy, so easy, that I neglect it, because I’m a lazy woman. Yes, I know. It’s horrible. My laziness always remember me that bamboo lasts forever so I can procrastinate one more day. That’s me! But my bamboos still incredibly gorgeous and healthy! 🥰

About yesterday.. Day 5 of our calendar, and fifth day of Azambuja’s journey on my house during 2020.

She was walking through the living room, naughty and nice, when she saw me with my wolf slippers! She got scared, ran away and climbed up the tallest planter that I have, and the tallest leaf of my rubber plant. She is feeling safe now, and this is the most thing, because 2020 is all about feeling safe. Let’s keep going safe and sound.

It has been a while that I don’t post any poem or lyric here, I don’t know why... sorry, my bad. But today I was inspired by one piece of the song “That would be enough”, from the musical Hamilton, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Our client asked us to write this quote on a gift basket, and I loved it. This should be a mantra for gratitude, a mantra for life.

Day 3 of our Plant Advent Calendar and day 3 of our Elf Adventure!

Poor Azambuja! She got scared when I said the name of the plant she was hiding: Spider plant. She tried to climb the hanger and jump safely to the Ivy plant! I really think she has arachnophobia! 🕷🕸 Glad that she came on Christmas, not in the Halloween.

Spider plants are really easy to care and easy to propagate. This one in the picture was a little baby when I cut it from its big mama. If you are new to the plants world, I’m sure spider plant can be a good start.

At the moment I finished this basket I had my first order. And it was definitely an order. My daughter demanded one basket like this, she really loved it! So I think it’s a good sign, huh? How could a kid won’t love this sweetest (literally) thing?

From acne and burns to stretch marks and more, this herbal powerhouse can moisturize, nourish, and soothe.

This winter can be harsh with our skin, we can feel the dryness, and the heater, well, it doesn’t help a bit. And things get worse for me, because I’m 42 and acne still here, guys (my mom told it will goes away when I turn 18... sometimes mom doesn’t know best).
Today I’m going to cut some leaves of one of my aloe Vera plants (yeah, my heart breaks a little) and treat myself.

I’m not prepare to say goodbye to these colors. I drive around to see the autumn outside and when I see a tree without leaves I wanna yell at her: “How dare you???? Why so soon???? I want my money back!!!”
Yeah, it sounds like crazy, and it is... but that’s me saying that I love fall foliage and I can’t get enough.
These pictures I took from the “Walkway over the bridge” in Poughkeepsie, NY, and it has amazing views, guys. If you can, just go.
The winter and cold days are just around the corner, so let’s enjoy this beautiful present time while it lasts (with a pumpkin spice latte, for sure).

Another friend is joining the 40’s club! Great reason to celebrate!
She is a tea person, so we got her some hibiscus and lemongrass, buttermilk cookies, quiche, pecan pie, tea infusion strainers, flowers, mug and a ballon. I think she loved and we certainly loved too!

White roses are something that I can not explain. It brings me more calm and a sense of protection bigger than any other plant or flower. I feel it every time I decided to buy them.
People say that it’s a representation of Virgin Mary. People say that it means spiritual love. I don’t know, but I can tell you that I feel really different (and better), when I buy some. I gave one to my daughter and she put it on her night stand. For me is like she is having some kind of protection during the night....

Very good feeling, guys. I feel truly blessed.
