We are excited to launch our new fundraising challenge for 2024: Climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
If you are passionate about raising awareness for mental health and are looking to challenge yourself, then don’t miss out on signing up for this challenge as spaces are limited.
It is proven that spending time in nature has a positive impact on your mental health.
The benefits include improved sleep, reduced stress, lower blood pressure and boosts your immune system. It is also a great way to connect and socialise with others.

For the first time we are inviting you to take part in our 2024, Yr Wyddfa climb to help to raise funds for the services we offer in Birmingham. Services such as our Central Birmingham Wellbeing Hub and our Anti-Stigma Associates Group. More information about our services can be found here.

We’ve come a long way since this picture was taken.

The first time Dom & Jarrad worked together - playing the in Manchester as 2/3 of a riot grrrl band!

Almost 4 years later they would start a SaaS company called PunkTech, the first product going live last year as a completely carbon neutral ticketing platform.

We reduce the our environmental impact as much as possible by using SMS in place of Email, and boast the ability to handle in person payments as well as online.

After checking the extortionate fees paid to attend major UK festivals this year, we are also determined to improve the way fee structures work for ticketing platforms and make everything fairer for all parties involved.

This is Dom. He's like an endangered redwood tree: he's tall, strong, and you just wanna hug him! 🥰

He's also pretty good for the environment 🌍 He's the driving force and technical lead behind Gekko.Events. He built out the software into what it is today and had the vision to create it in the first place!

We have a carbon neutral, modern ticketing platform that works for everyone involved, because of the hard work of this guy!

Incredibly proud to be launching with Castlefest UK providing their ticketing solutions!

We couldn’t be more grateful of Castlefest’s patience whilst we have built this platform. We are confident that this will be an incredible relationship with an excellent group who really care about the musicians and audiences they cater for ❤️

Today we take a step in the right direction with PunkTech and there new eco-friendly ticketing platform Gekko Events and we will be using this for the majority of our shows from now on and giving you the option of buying tickets for these from The Castle Tavern directly.

Gekko Events and PunkTech offset the carbon footprint of the ticketing process and helps us to provide a more planet sustainable solution to our events.

To celebrate this we will be announcing some new shows on Saturday all using this ticketing platform so keep an eye out on!

In the meantime here is what they have to say about the platform -

"At Gekko Events, we don't settle for just offsetting our carbon emissions (which we do through Carbon Neutral Britain), we work on reducing the amount of carbon we produce in the first place.

We use SMS ticketing to save on carbon production, we display carbon generated by public pages on our website and we currently offset more carbon then we use!"

A £40 Ticket on Gekko.Events would have a platform fee of £2.49 (per ticket) and a payment fee of £0.73 (per order)*

Our platform is also centred around privacy. Our analytics provider does not use cookies.
