We are very lucky to have Liz Jane as our main act again this year. Liz lives here in Port Royal with her family. Liz began developing her skills and studying guitar at Port Royal’s Music Academy with Jim Bachety, a successful smooth jazz musician from New York, and immediately started playing in church in Beaufort, South Carolina at the age of 12. At 18 she was selected to play in a group of Jim’s top students, known as the smooth jazz band Horizon. After years of playing in small bars, clubs, and theaters around the Lowcountry and recording an album as Horizon's lead vocal and rhythm guitar player, Liz Jane is now pursuing her own music as a solo artist.

Pulling on her influences of jazz alongside her love of acoustic folk and harmonies, Liz has released her first project entitled A Thrill of Hope, an album of Christmas music. In addition, she is currently experimenting with different sounds and melodies as she records her debut collection of original songs.

A bittersweet day. The Manger has been put away, the lights have been dimmed, but the memory of Music from the Manger will last much longer than the holiday season. Thank you all who helped, volunteered, played, painted, sponsored, and supported this Event—a brand new Celebration with a great vision from and for to support the charity of . We don't know what we liked better. The sound of the children laughing as they worked or their finished paintings. Thank you for being our judge. Not only is is she an internationally acclaimed artist viewing them, these children are getting one of the best. So tomorrow you can see who won and possibly see America's Best Top Artist...or at least Port Royals. 🤩 Panels and Paints.

The trees are in and in honor of my New England roots, I added a little snow. Although that is not happening, the decor of the inside of this warehouse is going to blow everyone away.
