Who would have thought a last minute blind date would be the beginning of this journey! From adopting their "mountain dog", Cooper, to spending time on the golf course, gardening and learning to cook...they enjoy every moment together!!🏔🐕⛳️👩‍🌾

I had a consultation call with a potential couple earlier today. While talking about another vendor they have recently booked, they said, “Everyone is so talented - but we’re really booking our vendors based off the humans that they are more than anything.”

My eyes got bigger, and my heart swelled, because that is the exact message we want to share with all of our couples! Book the people, not the work. Book the heart, not the instagram feed. I couldn't make up a better love story....

Lauren and Patrick were introduced to one another in June of 2018. Lauren's sister, Megan was with Patrick at a music festival and mentioned that Lauren would be traveling to see Bassnectar the following weekend in Colorado and Patrick mentioned he was attending the concert as well. Without thinking anything of it, Megan gave Patrick her sister's phone number. Patrick texted Lauren the first night and they happened to be staying at the same hotel all weekend! Lauren and Patrick bonded the rest of the weekend as they shared similar interests in music and craft beer.

Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time. Sadly, Patrick was leaving to travel to Australia for a year in August of 2018. Lauren and Patrick spent the next few months exploring Chicago, attending music festivals, and trying new places to eat. After Patrick left, the two didn't stop talking. Patrick traveled home for the holidays, and asked Lauren to come visit Australia. In April of 2019, Lauren flew across the world to travel with Patrick and the rest was history!

On March 8, 2022, Patrick arranged to take Hank (their dog) on a walk with Lauren. Little did Lauren know, Patrick was planning to propose in Palmer Square Park near their Logan Square home.
