Mystique Dining has a big screen in the front window, displaying my face and bio. I grew up watching Christopher Lee's portrayal of Dracula. When I was in seventh grade, the school gave us a choice: we could go outside to the playground for recess or stay inside and watch a movie in the auditorium. The movie was Dracula: Prince of Darkness, starring Christopher Lee. You can guess which option I took.
I just received this wonderful NECA toy version of the iconic vampire of my youth. They really captured Lee’s likeness. And the packaging is perfect, like the poster from the 1958 movie. The figure includes interchangeable heads and hands, cloth cape, shovel, candle, and extra-flamey candle.

Feeling grateful for the fantastic audience at last night’s performance of Magical Thinking at the Chicago Magic Lounge. The evening began with the audience greeting me with a warm “Hi!” and it ended with an amazing standing ovation. In between, we tested a theory proposed by the creator of Sherlock Holmes, played an appealing fortunetelling game, traveled back in time with the help of my first magic set, and reflected on the spookiness of mirrors. Dear friends Clarice Assad and Gary Gianni were in the house, and a wondrous time was had! Many thanks to everyone who attended!
