STORY TIME: If you want to hear a feel-good story, keep reading! This post just details the captions and is long, but so worth it! So, one day months ago, my auntie Lea Lea came home here in Nashville for a visit. We planned to go to brunch, so I wanted to do something fun for us. I made these floral headbands as a cute fun thing. I’m a florist and we are always looking for a reason to find any way to incorporate flowers into our daily lives. We get to brunch and have an amazing time. Peep the photo of her in the floral headband. We enjoy the food and drinks and get ready to use the bathroom before we head out. As we walk to the bathroom this lady walks up to us complimenting our floral headbands. She shares that her friend, that traveled from India to visit her, had been looking at us from distance. Apparently, she was in awe of the floral work. Of course, in true auntie fashion, Lea Lea goes “this is my niece, and she is a florist and made these headbands for our brunch date.” The woman then proceeded to say how nice they were and ask if I would take a picture with her friend from India once we used the restroom so that she could have a fun memory of Nashville. I said “of course” and we went into the bathroom. When we came out, the lady and her friend were there waiting. The lady from India shared that she loved the headbands and had never seen anything like it. I was shocked because traditional floral design from India inspires me because it’s bright, creative, and unique. We talked for a couple of minutes, and she thanked us for being so nice and not thinking she was weird for wanting to take a photo. I shared with her that I never meet a stranger and I would have done this too! We take the photos. See picture. I then ask her if she wanted to try on the headband, with another plan in mind. Excited, she says, “are you serious” and I say, “yes let’s do it!” See photo of me putting it on her, lol. We then take more pictures. After that we talk more, and she shares that she is flying back to India that night. I say well you enjoy the rest of your time in Nashville and the headband because it’s now yours. “WHAT” she says. “NO Way.” I said, “yes I want you to have this!” She smiled and laughed so happily, and my heart melted. Yall I am a natural giver. So here is a photo collection of how this all played out. Moral of this story is, you never know when you can make someone’s day. When you get the opportunity, JUST DO IT! Side note, later my auntie ended up giving her headband to her bestie, we got a photo of her modeling it too!
