Urban Events would again like to thank everyone for their continued support of our vision and goals in supporting Befriend a Child, despite a physical event not going ahead today as we would have hoped.
When we created Discover the Silver City back in September, we had a goal of supporting and celebrating local businesses and creatives. We believe that our Silver City has some of the best to offer, as you have seen through our virtual event today, and the planning of our event would not have been possible without them and others like them. Urban Events would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the following businesses, creatives and organisations who supported us with everything from fundraiser venues, leaflet printing and raffle prizes:
Papeterie Crafts, Ribh O'Neill, The Tartan Pig coffee house, Asda, Grub Fresh Food, The New Greentrees, Eyecandy Graphics, Repro Overflow, Hive Beauty Aberdeen, Cat the Seamstress, Granite Print T shirt Printing, Twin Atlantic, The Den & The Glen, Transition Extreme Sports Ltd., Landmark Forest Adventure Park and DW Fitness First Aberdeen.
All of your efforts helped us to support our fantastic charity, Befriend a Child.
The spread of COVID-19 has caused many events like ours to be cancelled and uncertainty for independent businesses across the UK and so while we greatly appreciate any donation you were able to make through our online event today we also ask you to keep shopping local wherever possible.
Raffle prizes collected for our event will be donated directly to the charity to be used in future fundraising efforts or given directly to service users who staff feel will benefit from them.
Urban Events are still finalising the financial details of Discover the Silver City, but will be in touch with our vendors, sponsors and followers with our final donation at the nearest available opportunity.
