EAST COTT FEAST East Cottingwith and Storwood FEast, a traditional Village Fete followed by an Evening of Music!

15/04/2026
17/03/2026

The East Cottingwith Feast & Events for the Year Ahead:

After careful consideration, the Feast Committee has decided not to hold the village feast this year. This was not an easy decision, but with limited volunteer availability and the significant work required to deliver the event safely and successfully, we feel this is the right approach for 2026.

What’s Happening Instead?

To still bring the community together, we’re planning two pop‑up pub events hopefully in May and September, more details to follow .

These will include:
Food options
A raffle
Music

Looking Ahead:
We hope that taking a year’s break will allow us to attract new volunteers and rebuild the team ready for a full feast in 2027.

Following on from the Christmas Events the following Donations were agreed by the committee:
£100 to Martin House (including £37.55 raised at the tree lighting)
£100 to the Church Bell Tower fund
£100 to the Village Hall

Over the last year the Feast Committee have contributed to:
Mulled wine & mince pies for the Christmas tree lighting
Prosecco for beacon lighting and supporting the VE Day celebrations
Christmas gifts for village children
Donations to local causes such as Martin House, the church bell tower fund, the play park and the village hall. Totalling over £1000 back into the Village.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the pop‑up events and working together to make next year’s feast a reality.

*** Tonight 7pm***

The Feast Committee are meeting at the Village Hall on the 16 March at 7pm if you’d like to join us and offer your help to run the feast we would welcome your support.

Sadly, If we do not have enough support we will struggle to put on the feast.

We will have to consider other options including switching the feast to alternate years or a very pared back version to previous years.

Thank you
