PERENNIAL ARTISAN ALES is a local microbrewery & tasting room that was established in September 2011, that we have right here at
8125 Michigan Ave. St Louis, MO 63111

Their philosophy is to brew beer with the adventurous craft beer drinker in mind—focusing on hand-crafted, small batches of beer, using local, seasonal and organic ingredients as much as possible.
Their beers are influenced mostly by Belgian and American craft styles, but the addition of premium ingredients such as fruits, spices or wild yeast strains sometimes causes the beers to defy traditional categories.
Their barrel aging program features a wide variety of beers aged in wine and spirits barrels, ranging from a Rye barrel-aged Mexican Chocolate Stout to a wild yeast-fermented Saison aged on Missouri wine grapes in French oak wine barrels.
They strive to always achieve balance with each of their recipes, making their beers exceptional with food.
We are extremely excited to have a great refreshing Perennial beer to pair with our Kamayan Style dinner tomorrow night thanks to our friend & staff.

Born and raised in Tuguegarao, a small town in the northern Philippines, Chef Malou Perez-Nievera grew up surrounded by horse-drawn carriages, braying goats, and simmering pans of longganisa.
When she decides to immigrate to America, Malou build her own culinary traditions to keep her family connected to the country they’ve left behind.
As Malou travels to Manila, New York, San Diego, and St. Louis, she develops relationships and recipes that fuel her evolution as a writer and as a chef.
Her debut cookbook “Connecting The Pots” is a deletable chronicle of the cultures and places that make up her culinary repertoire. It’s also a collection of Filipino recipes and stories that defines her journey.
Through delicious dishes, authentic recipes, and unforgettable stories, Malou shares how her journey around the world ended in the middle of her kitchen.
Malou is also the creative driving force behind the food blog, Skip to Malou, and the host of Skip to Malou: Cooking with a Filipino Accent on YouTube.
Through these two vehicles, she shows how to make easy and simple Filipino dishes.
She currently lives in St. Louis, MO where she ran a successful Filipino pop-up brunch and a monthly Kamayan dinner series.
She has been featured in numerous local and international food magazines, television segments, and radio shows.
Her culinary artistry started in 2009 in San Diego, CA, when she started her food blog.
Through- out the past decade, her passion for Filipino cuisine has taken her across the United States and the globe.
This Sunday is going to be epic. You can taste the love in every bite you take when she cooks for you.

Meet Chef from .
From the age of 14 Andrew knew he wanted to be chef. At 19, he began his culinary training under former White House Chef Pierre Chambrin at the St. Louis Club.
From there he went on to work for many respected intitutions such as Ben Poremba at Elaia, Mike Randolph at Privado and Gerard Craft at Cinder House.
Just a year ago Andrew introduced a new concept to the Saint Louis food scene, Pollo a la Brasa. A concept focusing on Peruvian wood-fire rotisserie chicken served with thick cut fries and a salad.
For the dinner chef Andrew will feature his delicious Peruvian juicy rotisserie chicken. We couldn’t be more excited for this.

Chef Ron Buechele purchased the Old Third District Police Station in 2000 and turned it into the award winning event venue Mad Art Gallery.
He eventually opened Capitalist Pig BBQ inside Mad Art as a lunch restaurant while hosting catered events in the evenings.
Ron's focus on using local and sustainably raised meats at the Capitalist Pig, careful attention to sauces and sides brought national attention to his restaurant concept.
Ron now focuses primarily on catered events, private dinner parties, unique chef collaborations for open-to-the-public events, and is planning his next unique lunch concept.
He is a man of many talents and also an amazing artist. We are so lucky to have him join the team this Sunday, October 17th for our live fire event.

We got St. Louis Osuwa Taiko doing two sets of demonstrations this weekend! If you haven’t heard their amazing group, you definitely are not going to want to miss out!

We have St. Louis Osuwa Taiko joining us at the Red Lantern Night Market this weekend at .
St. Louis Osuwa Taiko started out as a kids' group but has evolved to a nonprofit organization devoted to sharing taiko throughout Missouri and elsewhere through year-round performances, workshops and classes for children, adults, and seniors.
They perform and teach taiko at those events which is the art of Japanese ensemble drumming.
The group performs primarily in Missouri and the Midwest. In doing so, they help preserve and contribute to the performance art while bringing enjoyment to the community and fostering an understanding between Japanese and American cultures.
The father of ensemble taiko, Grandmaster Daihachi Oguchi, founded St. Louis Osuwa Taiko in 1986, several decades after forming his original group, Osuwa Daiko, at the Suwa Taisha shrine in St. Louis' sister city, Suwa, Japan.
They play approximately 50 shows a year across the country, particularly in Missouri and the Midwest, for audiences ranging from dozens to thousands.
They perform and give workshops at international festivals, concert halls, businesses, schools, universities, conventions, parades and fundraisers. Some past performances include the Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden, El Monstero at The Pageant and the St. Lou Fringe Festival.
To Request a performance at http://stltaiko.com/performances/new or sign up for classes and workshops at http://stltaiko.com/
You can find more info about them when you come to the market.

You don’t want to miss out on these amazing pork belly steamed buns made by our amazing host Chef Ron Buechele at the Night Market this weekend!

Our amazing friend, Chef Ron Buechele of Mad Art Gallery is the host of the first ever, Red Lantern Night Market.
It is located in historic Soulard, housed in the former Third District Police Station.
Our Boss friend Chef and amazingly talented artist Ron painstakingly renovated it over the 20 years he has owned the building.
Mad Art Gallery is a stunning example of 1930’s Art Deco architecture and is one of St Louis’s premiere event venues - boasting both an indoor 3,800 sq ft gallery space and a lovely outdoor courtyard area.
Ron’s talent is reflected in the restorations of the building, the art on the walls and the cuisine prepared for each event.
Mad Art Gallery offers in-house catering by the award winning Chef Buechele, from private dinners to large scale receptions.
He has a passion for the culinary arts that began as a small child in the kitchen with his Sicilian aunts, and his creativity and culinary range is reflected in each menu he carefully curates for his clients.
Ron will feature a pork belly steam bun at the night market, made with locally sourced and sustainably raised pork belly.
We are beyond stoked to have this talented man not only host our event but also throwing down with us in the kitchen making some amazing food.

This weekend just keeps getting better and better.

Our friend Chef Brandon Panosh from Winslow’s Table and Vicia is taking local ingredients from Bohlen Family Farms and using the many lessons that Jack at Thai 202 has taught him to create a dish for sale at the Market!
Chef Brandon regularly hosts private dinners with farm-to-table menus and passionately cooks in sync with the seasons. Over years of friendship with Jack, he has learned an immense amount of technique and knowledge around Pan Asian cuisine.
We invited him to come feature his knowledge and passion for cooking and we are excited for everyone to try his dish. He will be working right next to Chef Hama San.
