Not to forget our other side of the family. This is a photo of the John Burns and Jessie Lillie Smyth family. This is Norma Ioleen Smyth Riddell’s family. My research has turned up the fact that John Burns Smyth’s parents are not his real parents but his grandparents! It is believed that his sister Margaret is his real mother and that he was a product of a r**e. My grandmother was not aware of this to my knowledge but I was contacted by one of Margarets great granddaughters who pointed this out.

Found out how to do this finally! This is a picture of the original Riddell family(at least as far back that I have). This is the William Oliver and Elizabeth Teasdale Riddle family. Did you know that the name was spelled Riddle until for some reason it was changed by William Oliver. I think perhaps some family information became available as the started putting Scottish as their ethnicity instead of Irish! We are also a family of Torys!Elizabeth Teasdale was decended from a family that sided with the English during the Revolutionary War. They are called United Loyalist’s in Canada.

My name is Denise Riddell, I am married to Jason Lee Riddell. We live in Tucson, AZ and love the outdoors, our Jeeps, traveling and exploring new areas. I dabble in genealogy and very interested in connecting with the larger family.
Jason is the oldest son of John Oliver Riddell and that is our connection to this group.
