This track has just absolutely blown me away so I just had to say something about this. From Melbourne native producers Roza Terenzi & Fantastic Man teaming up under the moniker B’Zircon, their first collaborative effort comes in the form of the ‘Lazulination’ EP released on Amsterdam-based heavyweights Kalahari Oyster Cult.
The B-side ‘Ultramarine’ stands out as one of the most refreshing and adventurous productions I’ve heard so far in 2021. With Roza Terenzi & Fantastic Man’s veteran influences tarnished all over, we are gifted with an 8-minute journey into the depths of Atlantis.
Awakening the long dormant seabed, all isn’t what it seems. Raw, glitchy toms skipping through the sand, being chased by rumbling bass & gut-punching kicks. The seemingly subtle velocity changes in the drum patterns are absolutely menacing and with all elements in play it locks you straight into a trance.
If you’re a fan of banging up-tempo, ethereal techno reminiscent of old school aquatics from The Orb, Orbital - then I cannot recommend this enough 🤗
