Congratulations Princeton University
Class of 2024!🎓 It was an honor to supply the florals for the celebration today. Although PU school colors are orange and black, the shield colors for the residents at “Rocky” are green and white so we went with that color palette. The staff at The Rockefeller College is outstanding. It was a pleasure preparing for the celebration with you all.

A busy week designing for several events in Princeton was topped off with Senior Day for Princeton Men’s Lacrosse. They didn’t just celebrate their seniors. The team had a big win over UPenn that was sealed with a backhanded goal by their senior goalie🤩 And checkout the fancy fiddle sticks handed out to the senior’s moms instead of traditional bouquets🧡

In November, I had the honor of designing the florals for the wedding of Joan and Chris. Joan had shared with me that they were both widowed but I wasn’t aware, until Joan shared some professional photos with me recently, that their story had appeared in the New York Times wedding section. Theirs is a beautiful story of finding love a second time.

The wedding cakes represented the place where it all started and the school connection that brought them together…

The locally grown blooms exploded this week at various locations in Princeton. The Princeton Public Library’s Book Lovers Luncheon at The Nassau Inn, a sweet Bat Mitzvah at The Jewish Center of Princeton and a Princeton University graduate. So happy to be designing with local flowers again☺️

Love using heirloom vessels to create something special. Same flowers, different containers. This makes your event more personal and really elevates the design especially, when filled with locally grown blooms! This has become an important element of Poe Road Posies. Why buy a new container when we can utilize something special you have at home?!
Listening to on was validating and inspiring. I am constantly learning from other designers.

Arrangements heading to a special engagement party tonight. Arianna loves yellow so I went out of my comfort zone and used butter yellow carnations because I learned a new trick from
I appreciate carnations for their purpose but I’ve never been a fan. As I pulled out the middle petals from each carnation and their beautiful center was revealed, I realized that they now appeared to look more like a wild flower or lisianthus. Now I’m hooked.
