The Ouija Board was patented by a Presbyterian in 1890 after identifying the trend of the talking board in spiritualist camps. The first ads read " Never failing amusement and recreation for all classes!" There was no widespread fear of the board until The Exorcist came out in 1973.

This Halloween magician and fortune teller Jared Howell is bringing a live seance experience to New Albany Indiana. Ouija and Other Ways To Talk To The Dead is an interactive Victorian seance recreation. You’ll experience demonstrations as they would have been done by spirit mediums of the 1800s.
