OOAK Oshun poppet doll fe**sh - sold as unconsecrated & "uncharged".

Approximately 18" head to bottom tassel. Comprised of bones, wool, metal, cotton fabric, glass beads, polymer, acrylic, cowries, Czech glass and crow beads.

Oshun is the goddess of the river of the same name in Nigeria. It's said she lived in a cave that still exists in Ijesa, Nigera, to the north towards the river Nile. She was the second wife of Shangó.

In Nigeria she is adored in many parts of Yorubaland, although it is in the city of Osogbo, through where passes her river where she has the greater amount of believers. The Osogbo name comes from the union of Oshun and Ogbo. She saved this city for that reason the king called it that way. In Africa her messenger is the crocodile. Their followers take offerings to the river and requests her favors.

Oshun is the Orisha of the fresh water. Her name comes from the Yorùbá Osún. She saved the world flying like a (Ibú Kolé), specie of vulture. Also she spoke with Olofin, when Olokun brought the deluge. It was Yemayá who gave her fortune and gave her as house house the river waters. She was the one who requested the intervention of the women in the Orishas meeting.

Her number are 5 and its multiples. Her color is the yellow in all its tonalities. Her favorite food offering is Ochinchin. She has many avatars.

Oshun is greeted Yalodde Yeyé Kari! Yeyeo! Omoriyeyeo.

Constructed with hand dyed mint/aqua Imperial Batiste gown with cream Imperial Batiste lining, ornate embroidered mesh lace trim, gold guipure trim, bronze and copper attributes and collares, Czech glass beads. All attributes.

Yemaya poppet shrine

Hand twisted Gotland Peltsheep (pälsfår) hair wefts, adorned with caracols, blue luster crystals, saphire glass beads, sterling silver beads, white shell Czech glass beads, matte turquoise glass beads, hand-tied, color-washed jute rope netting, silvered brass sea ornaments, 18g verdigris "Degas" blue-green over black bress etched cable chain, housed in wood age-painted boat shrine.

Approximately 18" x4 3/4".

Finally starting on my Santa Muerte. My original 17" that was the inspiration for the versions I make today was deconstructed. The versions today far surpass her in detail and quality! I have had the honor to create her physical likeness for many.

I go to Santa Muerte Holy Mother of Death, great protector of the living, guardian spirit of the dead for all "human" things that do not encompass orisha. My orisha would not take kindly to providing for those who are not in the path, and do not pay tribute or offer ebo' in return. Creating in their image is on a different level. I have full permission and create based on their influences.

It is an honor to create for orisha, and Santa Muerte.

The 34" 1:3 scale Santa Muerte is the most life like of the three sizes I create. Unlike the 17" and 24", she is a scaled version of a human skeleton, cast in high quality PVC instead of plastic. Her size allows for much more detail, in both trims and fabrics, as well as her attributes, which I also hand make.

She is on her way to her home.
