As one of the creators of the legendary Technoir events in Belgium this concept as ''an underground techno affair'' was born more then 30 years ago.

The involvement of Coupé in the techno scene in Belgium was distinctively . As there was no radio stations and internet playing this kind of music .
The acces to techno music played a big importance as we created a platform for people that had no real acces to this music style.
Looking back Coupé and Technoir concept were part responsible as building blocks for the techno scene in Belgium as we know it today !

With more then 30 years in the scene he developed a distinct and unique way of Dj-ing , there is not really one direct association with a particulier style,
he's love for Detroit techno can be felt all over in he's DJ sets ranging from techno to acid , electro, breaks and house all blend in a one of kind experience .

Based in Antwerp Coupé had the opportunity to create he's distinct style of dj'ing in different parts of the world and this together with some of favorite and like minded artists .

Coupé was also the first Antwerp dj that was able to play at Fuse (BXL) - untill today still the most respected techno club in Belgium and worldwide !
It did not stop with that ; playing at different big and small events/festivals like Petrol / Laundry day / 10 days Off / Club Vaag / Acid call / Raaskal / Sunjam (Honduras)/ Monox Club (Glasgow) / Paradiso ( Amsterdam) / Reef festival ( Roatan ) .....

Responsible for a long running and hugely influential musical vision, he drawed the attention to other organisers in Antwerp that wanted to create events, he co- organised Raaskal and Face the Nation .
