PERFORMER ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

THE COCONUTS

are a musical comedy duo consisting of filmmaker and TV
presenter and actor Bursting onto the scene
in 2019 as Raw Comedy state finalists, this homegrown act has performed
across Adelaide at the Rhino Room, Crown and Anchor, The Gov and more.
They were selected to be part of Adelaide Comedy’s Next Gen in the 2020
Adelaide Fringe Festival, where they (as usual) artfully balanced comedy with
their rampant s*x appeal. The comedy duo have become a sought-after
comedy act in Adelaide performing for organisations such as Fringe, Feast,
OzAsia and the University of Adelaide. Beyond comedy, Leela’s award-winning
films have screened at festivals such as Tropfest, MQFF, and Stellar Film
Festival, while Shabana’s acting credits include SBS’s The Hunting, ABC and
Netflix’s The Letdown and Why Are You Like This.

PERFORMING DUO ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

EM AND MARGOT

Throughout 2022 and .ilyloe have worked together on four different projects. These include, On The Land of Which We Meet by Na Djinang Circus, Get Well Soon by Get Well Circus, Albatross by Bliindful and together they received funding to make and perform two acro acts for the Circus Nexus cabaret show. Additionally, they made a fun, upbeat renegade act and performed it at the 2022 Australian Partner Acrobatic Convention (APAC).
In 2023 Margot and Em will be performing in the kids/circus show ‘Party Pooper’ produced by Wildhouse Circus.

We are so excited that we have not one, but two incredibly talented circus artists joining the Trashbag fam on February 25th.

ADAM ASTRO

is a proud Ngarrindjeri man and Adelaide based dancer, arts teacher, director, choreographer. Australia's newest emerging First Nations performance artist. He first indigenous student in Melbourne University history to audition and complete a bachelor degree in dance at the Victorian College of the Arts, Adam is also a former Australian youth and professional representative in Dancesport (Ballroom/Latin) at worldwide competitions!

ASTRO has many experiences and achievements within the performing arts industry of Australia, including NAIDOC's 1996 Youth of the Year & 2019/2020 LGBTIQA+ NAIDOC Midsumma Pride Ambassador for First Nations community of Australia, back to back winner of the Dame Roma Mitchell Arts scholarship for highest achievement in the Industry. Adam placed 2nd in 2005 ABC’s national television dance show “Strictly Dancing” and was awarded the Highest Sporting Achievement at the 2006 Rainbow Awards. 2019 Mr Boylesque Australian Finalist and 2023 Sydney World Pride First Nations Scholarship Award Winner to the Human Rights Conference.

This ASTROnomical performer with be lighting up the night on February 18th.

She’s provided commentary for New Years Eve celebrations for the BBC; turned on the illuminations for Edinburgh’s Christmas Celebrations and removed a large platter of sandwiches from the VIP area of the Court of St James to feed herself and other starving artists waiting backstage before a performance celebrating Australian artists in England.

On top of all that, she’s celebrating 40 years in ‘the biz’ in 2023, and she ain’t showing signs of slowing down.
