Today, the University of Bristol invites you to a follow-up event to update you on progress on its Reparative Futures programme! Guest Speakers include Professor Gary Younge and Robert Beckford. There will also be an opportunity to meet and network with a group community experts who have been appointed as the Accountability Partners. On Sept 17th, 1963, Raghbir Singh became the first Person of Colour to work as a Bus Conductor following the victory. To honour his bravery, an event on Race & Diversity in the Workplace is being hosted on Sept 17th. The event will feature speakers like Asher Craig, Bristol’s first Black deputy Mayor, and a panel with the Bristol Bus Boycott pioneers, along with networking opportunities, food, and refreshments.

Race & Diversity in the Workplace is from 5.30 – 8.30 pm. CIPD members can attend for free, while non-members can purchase tickets for £10. Limited tickets are available, so be sure to book yours and find more information at https://shorturl.at/rcaSg.
