There will also be an opportunity to meet and network with a group community experts who have been appointed as the Accountability Partners. On Sept 17th, 1963, Raghbir Singh became the first Person of Colour to work as a Bus Conductor following the victory. To honour his bravery, an event on Race & Diversity in the Workplace is being hosted on Sept 17th. The event will feature speakers like Asher Craig, Bristol’s first Black deputy Mayor, and a panel with the Bristol Bus Boycott pioneers, along with networking opportunities, food, and refreshments.

Race & Diversity in the Workplace is from 5.30 – 8.30 pm. CIPD members can attend for free, while non-members can purchase tickets for £10. Limited tickets are available, so be sure to book yours and find more information at https://shorturl.at/rcaSg.
