A little bit of a late notice but we will be doing a Christmas light show on Thursday evening for a customer doing a promo video. It is at 1090 Norton Rd, Columbus, OH 43228. It’s on the southeast corner of Norton Rd and Hall Rd.

It is a new strip mall shopping center that is nearly complete and in the process of leasing units out if anyone is looking for a storefront in that area.

It will start at 7pm and run for about an hour. The lights will all be synced to the music. We did a test run a couple nights ago and it looked AMAZING!

You will be able to sit in your vehicle and watch the lightshow if you’d like to join us.

When your looking for a Wedding DJ and are wondering why it costs what it does, here is what we do. It’s a long list but worth the read if you’re planning a wedding.

What goes into creating your perfect day when you hire Front Row DJ as your wedding DJ?

1. We provide the client with a free app to use to pick out their music and set their timeline of events

2. Beginning about 7 days prior to the wedding we will go over all songs, special requests, and your timeline and go over it with you.

3. When we are sure everything is correct we will spend about 4-6 hours purchasing any songs we may not have so we have them on our laptop. We don’t stream the music because internet can be spotty at best at some venues. We will organize all of the songs for each part of the ceremony and reception. We then back everything up to a second laptop that is also hooked up and ready… just in case of a computer malfunction during the wedding.

4. We will print several copies of the timeline and take with us to the venue. We provide the photographer & coordinator with one if they don’t already have one.

5. We provide all of the sound equipment and microphones needed. We usually bring equipment valued at 20k to 30k to do the ceremony and reception. This takes an enclosed trailer to haul the equipment we bring.

6. We are typically the first people to show up and we begin our setup which normally will take 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on what we are using that day. We sound check everything and put new batteries in the wireless microphones.

7. We will then change into our dress attire that we brought with us.

8. We will start playing the prelude music about 30 minutes prior to the vows. During the ceremony we provide wireless lapel microphones so nobody has to hold a microphone in their hands. You will have enough going on without having to worry about holding a microphone. The officiant will also have a wireless lapel microphone. We have a self contained battery operated ceremony system we use for this so you can have your ceremony virtually anywhere.

9. After the ceremony we start the cocktail hour music while the wedding couple are getting photos taken. We then tear town the ceremony system and put it away. Sometimes the cocktail hour is in a different area than the reception so that is another sound system we set up for that.

10. My wife will then assemble the entire wedding party along with anyone else being introduced and we will proceed with the introductions and Grand Entrance of the wedding couple.

11. The first dance and any other dances typically follow this unless dinner is preferred next.

12. Dinner follows this and the toasts are given with proper introductions of the people giving them.

13. This will be followed by the cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter removal, garter toss, anniversary dance, and any games being played.

14. After all of that we open the dance floor and keep you and your guests entertained and dancing.

15. At the end of the evening there is typically a last dance with the guests and/or a last dance for the weddings couple followed by the Grand Exit if they are having one.

16. We then tear all of the equipment down and load it back into the trailer which takes 30-45 minutes and we drive home unload everything back into the garage. We are then typically one of the last people to leave.

Our total hours involved is about 4-6 hours of prep time, 3-4 hours loading, travel time, and setup, 6 hours or so for the ceremony & reception, then another 2 hours tearing down and loading everything, travel time home, and putting the equipment away. Other than the prep time there will be 2 of us so all of the man hours are doubled. Having my wife there as an assistant will make your day less stressful as she maintains contact with the wedding couple and coordinator (if you have one) and stays in contact with me. Together we keep everything flowing along for the day.

Total man hours involved in a typical wedding…

26-30 hours

And people will actually ask us if we can do a wedding for a few hundred dollars usually because the local bar DJ plays music for a few hours for that. Unfortunately they just aren’t aware of what’s involved for a professional wedding DJ. DJ’ing a wedding is very different from DJ’ing a party or at a bar.

Our typical cost we charge ranges from $1,100 to $1,900 which is still one of the lower cost items with a wedding but the DJ can make or break your entire wedding day. Food is not cheap, photographers are not cheap, venues are not cheap, decorations are not cheap, clothing for the wedding is not cheap.

Best of all… when you hire us, we show up 100% of the time. We’re not going to cancel on you the week of the wedding.

Don’t settle for less on one of the biggest days of your life, hire an experienced professional WEDDING DJ that knows what they doing… hire the pros at Front Row DJ

When you’re planning that perfect wedding you may not want to book the cheapest DJ you can find. You may wind up like this guy that’s looking for a DJ for his wedding in 2 days. Book an experienced Wedding DJ from Front Row DJ and relax, we don’t cancel on our clients, we provide excellent service at a reasonable price to exceed your expectations.

We already have 2 events to do this weekend so we are not able to help him on such short notice.

Our battery powered ceremony system came through again for the ceremony at Ariel Foundation Park in Mt Vernon. Wireless lapel microphone for the officiant only and it blends right in with the suit. We have different color microphones to match different outfits to keep them inconspicuous.

No electric in The Ruins area of the park so it was battery power all the way for Front Row DJ!

Different ceremonies, all ran on our battery powered ceremony system.
