Many moms are guilty of this, we can avoid this and make our belly suffer less gas or colic in their belly

MEDICAL POST

Why you shouldn’t use 2 pads a day

I put up a post yesterday on our Facebook group mothers kids and more (MKM) not here our page but group asking how much does a pad cost in Nigeria on an average and 98% said N450-N500 and they contain about 7-10 pieces on an average.
This means it’s cheap and affordable.

I read a post on MKM where women mentioned they use JUST 2 pads a day and I commented I use about 5-7 a day I wear one when I wake up to work, about 5am them change towards 9-10am at work, then change Again at 2-3pm before I start heading home.
Before after dinner another change towards 6-7 pm, then a fresh one again before going to bed.. at night at times I change depends on the day of flow..

People were shocked and said a lot to me.

Let me mention why you need to change often at least every 4-6 hours

MKMites no matter how light your flow is, or even if there is no flow, bacteria can build up down there because, It’s tight quarters down there where your vulva/Virginia and pad live, and your a**s is a close neighbor. So sweat and bacteria, which are usually there anyway, can lead to some pretty funky / horrible odors and bacterias if left to sit long enough.

While some odor and bacteria is totally normal, it’s best to keep things as clean and dry as possible down there. This won’t just help with smells, but reduce your risk for infections as well.

So MKMites are you not tired of treating infections bcos this is what I read everyday in the group

Changing your pad every 4 - 6 hours is good hygiene and helps prevent bad odors and infections This is especially very Important if you live in a very hot environment and you rush from one place to the other.

All that said, some pads are thicker and designed to hold more blood than others, which may afford you some leeway between changes. The instructions on the package are a good place to start if you’re unsure so pls take note of that too.

I am looking at this from different angles I also know depending on your age and body type, your flow can change from time to time. It’s perfectly normal to have heavy days and light days pls change your pads often to keep clean and fresh down there

I don’t like wet things, and "a clean home is a happy home." and you pay less for medication

Pls change your pads often 2pads a day( one morning and one night ) is not enough
