Congratulations to this year’s costume contest winners! 👻 We so enjoyed celebrating the spooky season with everyone earlier this week. A big mahalo nui to the crew for always taking such great care of us and to for hooking us up with one of your incredible mugs for the 1st prize winner. Also a shout out to .pontman75 for gifting us a mug for 2nd place as well! November tends to be a very busy month for people as they prepare for the holidays and spend time with family, so we will be taking a month off from meet-ups and reconvening again in December for our annual Mele Kalikimaka celebration. It’ll be snowing before ya know it! See ya real soon.🎄 ❄️

There are no events planned for the month of June… why? Because our friends at FOM already put on an AMAZING good time at ! Many of us are headed to Lake George, NY tonight to celebrate the summer at the Tiki Resort. We’ll share some pictures after the event and try to tag our New England Tiki Society Ohana! Last night was a blast! 💥 Thank you to everyone who helped kick off TROPICAL WEEK featuring at tiki bar! It was great seeing so many old friends and meeting new ones. Some folks came all the way from Tennessee and California just to celebrate with us!

A special thank you to and from Planteray Rum for sponsoring the week! 🍹 Matt and did an amazing set for us as always. 🎸 made these beautiful skull swizzles for the evening 💀 and let us be some of the first to see his new mug!

Of course the event could not have happened without the incredible team at including (but not limited to) Jason and and . I hope everyone had as good a time as I did! 😄

Because our friends over at FOM (Fraternal Order of Moai) host a charity event called Ohana: Luau at the Lake in June, we will be holding off on any formal events until after that. Tickets for Ohana are sold out, but there is a waitlist and if you have an opportunity to attend in future years I recommend it! They raise a lot of money for charity and do great things for the tiki community.

In all my many visits to , I don’t think I have ever seen the boat room’s back bar open! 🌋 Mahalo nui to the kind Kowloon staff for taking such great care of us last night. It was great seeing many of our regulars as well as some new faces! And and performing really brought the night together. We even saw some folks join us for the evening! I hope everyone had a good time… thank you for continuing to support the tiki community. We do our events on Monday nights to help bring in business on otherwise slower business days for restaurants. Many tiki palaces have closed over the decades, including some great local haunts in Massachusetts as of late, so we do what we can when we can to support these places. Mahalo Nui. See you again soon!

Join us in Lovecraft Country on Monday, April 29th for CTHU-LUAU! We will be celebrating the rare opportunity to listen to LIVE MUSIC in Kowloon’s famous volcano/boat room. Happy Lunar New Year! 🐉 A big mahalo nui to all our friends and enthusiasts who came out to celebrate with us last night. Thanks to you, we were able to raise over $2000 for various charities!
