Max Derkson, alias DaxMUSIC's DJ career started back in 2010 when he started playing at local venues and bars in Brighton as a house DJ. Max inherited the love and passion for trance music after seeing brother Sam grow in to the world of trance and hard dance. SMX soon formed when Sam & Max decided to embark on a journey together which saw them play across the UK for many of prestigious and well
established brands such as, CREAMibiza, Trancsend, Goodgreef, BOSH, Remedy, Extended, MoS and many more! SMX Project obtained many opportunities to earn the privilege to play at some of their favourite venues across the UK such as Ministry Of Sound 6 times, O2 Academy (Opera house) Bournemouth, WHSE London, Koko, and the best of all was Concorde2 Brighton, the night their dreams became reality as they opened and closed for Paul Oakenfold! Max’s main focus has been learning to produce his own music. 5 years down the line and things are starting to take shape for him, gaining more and more confidence and excelling at speed building creative ability each day. Getting stuck in to the endless, black hole like world that music has to offer. He will carry on working hard and exploring all kinds of worm holes and avenues to achieve his desired sound as a producer. He hopes to release his own music in the future. Since day 1, music policy and general etiquette is something Max respects religiously and takes pride in as a functioning artist and performer. Having the ability and the discipline to progress the the music accordingly is an art in itself. An honest approach to music and holding quality is what fills Max with pride and passion for the music he delivers. It is what he loves.

There are absolutely no restrictions for Dax when it comes to delivering his own sound and flavour having acquired such a wide variety of tools and inspiration from many different areas of the music scene over the years. However, maintaining discipline, quality, and all round general knowledge and respect. The objective of being versatile, unique, pushing and exceeding boundaries soon becomes a different ball game.
