Ok local flower loving friends!
Did you know we will be at annual Mothers Day Market May 13th 12-5!
In addition to beautiful bouquets and fresh flowers we are also bringing potted dahlias, dahlia tubers and potted roses!

This one is called Francis Meilland and will be available to purchase. This gem of a garden rose is our most fragrant roses we grow on the farm. Super long stems amazing for cutting and bringing inside.

We will also have the highly sought after Koko Loko, Easy Spirit, Bolero and Marilyn Monroe.

Polka… Have you ever met a more cheerful dahlia?
I’ve been growing polka for years. While I’m not always the biggest yellow fan (slowly converting! Depending on the tone 😏)
This dahlia stole my heart. One of my earliest and most prolific bloomers this dahlia pumps out blooms all summer long. The petals are cream with just a light dusting of pink on the tips of them, adding so much interest and versatility. This happy flower brightens any bouquet and is sure to brighten your gardens!

Yay! It’s that time! Time for our annual tuber sale. One of my absolute favorite things is being able to share a bit of beauty, a bit of our farm with you! It makes me so happy to see your gardens growing, getting updates on how your flower journey is going and seeing the joy these blooms bring.

Now let’s talk “dahlia mania.”
Yes, Dahlia mania is a thing. I want to remind everyone that we are a small family farm. This annual tuber sale is one that greatly impacts our farm and our ability to keep going on this wild farming journey! So thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here and choosing to support our family and farm!
These sales can be so stressful for growers and buyers alike.
Everyone is looking for that certain dahlia the one they have tried for so many times possibly years before only to not get. It is so very frustrating; I know because I have been there many times myself.
As a grower it is so difficult to disappoint clients when the tuber they wanted sold out. I feel for you I really do.
We work on increasing high demand items every year to satisfy our market. This year in particular I want to talk about Appleblossom and Skipley Spot of Gold.
Last year I tried so hard to get as many tubers as possible into eagerly awaiting hands. I oversold these items and need to bring our stock back up. While we still have some to sell this year it is not as many as last year. These two particular varieties sold out within 5 minutes of the sale being open.

So please keep that in mind when you are making your lists. I just wanted to be honest and transparent. I know they are highly sought after, and I know how disappointing it is to not get everything you had hoped for.

Now on to the good news! We have a wonderful selection of so many gorgeous dahlia tubers. All of which we use on our farm for cut flowers! Over the years we have carefully curated a collection that is prolific and on trend with designers and event planners. I know you will love them as much as I do!

This last year we purchased a Landworks Augur... It was a total game changer for rose planting, fence posts and our hoop house set up! Come see how it works! Plus this is super exciting because it's the first planting in the new hoop house! 😁🙌🏻 I know it's not finished 😏 but I just can't wait any longer it's planting time. Sometimes that’s just how it goes. Joel works full time and is also setting it up for me while also being a great Dad who wants to be present for the kids! Hope you like this little video!

Well we are experiencing some unusual low temperatures here in Whatcom county! While the snow was magical at Christmas and made the farm look all dreamy and white. There is lots of work to be done during this time. The cooler storing dahlias and spring corms needs to be checked with heaters running at various times of the day to maintain temperatures, roses have been mulched and are hopefully withstanding this cold snap. 200 Eucalyptus pots in hoop house have been moved inside for protection and frost clothes covering crops in the hoop house. Other winter chores just keep popping up! How have you guys been doing with your winter chores!?!
