✨ Behind - The - Scenes ✨
A sneak peek from last week’s Dance Party Experience where we took on the challenge of creating a memorable, fun routine to the iconic Joe Cocker song “You can leave your hat on”.
The meaning behind this song choice was so personal to this group and I was honoured to be invited along to celebrate and commemorate ♥️
All the ladies considered themselves “non-dancers” with little to no experience - let alone the confidence to be filmed and “perform” for the camera.
When I watched their videos back, I was humbled by the reminder at on a very human level, dance has this unique ability to unite and bring people together. The oldest form of communication, and somewhere in time, we have lost sense of that in our every day. The smiles, the interaction, the glances, the JOY! All through dance and movement.
DAILY REMINDER!
~ When you dance, your purpose is not to get a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way ~ 🤍
So much about what dance teaches us, relates into real-world practical advice, strategy and skillset. So whatever your weekend brings you… remember to take time to BE in the present, and enjoy the moment.
