We are overwhelmed with everyone’s support and continuously asking us what it was like being the Wedding Planner & Stylist of Effie and James’ Wedding. What were they like? Was it stressful? Was there a vibe? We thought we will answer it all on one post - and where do we even BEGIN?

The last couple weeks have been an absolute whirlwind of media coverage, interviews, exposure and a great sense of pride when leading a team of over 50 staff to get a wedding of this standard over the line. To lead a wedding of such calibre is by no means an easy task, despite what it might look like online. To bare the responsibility of the entire day and ensure it is THE perfect day for our couple is something we didn’t take lightly.

Let us take you on a ride down memory lane…

You can imagine the feeling I got when seeing a DM on Instagram from Effie Kats. So many thoughts. ‘Do I reply? Do I not reply?’ Obviously I instantly called Jade for a debrief. And eventually replied with a Voice Memo 😉. The rest was history.

When Effie and James approached us we knew they loved our work for what it was. They came into our studio with no expectations and a lot of respect for us and what we do. We clicked instantly. It was as though we had known each other for years; a true match made in heaven.

In our first initial meeting we discussed all things Wedding Day. From Coordination, Styling, Cars, Music, End Goal, Food; everything. With Effie being a perfectionist herself we knew that for her to come in and trust us with her entire Wedding Day was a huge responsibility which came with a huge expectation, not only from our couple but from everyone watching and anticipating what was going to be one of the most Luxe Weddings in Melbourne this year. Luxury Wedding? No problem.

After our meeting, we noticed the stress weigh off Effie’s shoulders and we were inseparable ever since. We started planning and coordinating immediately. Venue planning, floral planning, car planning and most importantly - Day Coordination. We had countless meetings in between which included inspections, fabric consultations, zoom meetings. The meetings were endless until we reached the perfect outcome.
