Hi Chop life geng! We tried out Saudi Food Palace @saudifoodpalace located in new garage bariga for their famous Amala. Apparently this spot has been in existence serving Amala for close to 30years now.
We love that it’s an affordable spot in this economy and with less than a thousand naira you can eat good Amala here alongside with orisirisi. We kid you not!
It’s almost unbelievable that the quality of their food still remains good. We absolutely enjoyed it and it’s something we would love to try again. 😁
Their amala sells for #100 per portion and also same price with their meat.
Kindly let us know if you’ve visited this spot before or if you would be visiting in the comment section.

If you’re looking to buy Tokunbo items in Lagos, Odo Olowu warehouse is your best best. They sell a wide range of products at relatively affordable prices such as, electronics, kitchen wares/equipment, rugs, household appliances and even groceries all shipped from abroad.
We did a little window shopping and found out that the prices are mostly affected by the fluctuations in the exchange rate which subsequently makes the cost of items unstable.
The warehouse opens Monday-Saturday from 8:00am and they close quite early (around 4:00pm) so, it is advisable to go earlier so that you can be able to shop on time.

Our experience @theamberlagos was not it at all. It wasn’t a good one.
First we had issues with their customer service. It took a while before they came for our order and their manager had to do that herself.
Secondly, our order took so long despite that we visited on weekday which wasn’t one of their peak period. It was really discouraging.
Also, the food wasn’t all that. It tasted like the regulars and it was just mild. We would give it a 5/10. Tho we enjoyed the drink. It was on the bar attendant recommendation.

Screaming for ice cream! -on a budget
🚨Hidden Gem Alert!
(@wafflemonster.ng)
Type: Cafe
They’re located at ogudu road- so mainland people, this one is for you!
It’s a small cafe with a capacity of about 15 people at a time.
Their menu is so affordable and they sell sweet stuff- waffles, ice cream and different pastries. They also sell fresh juice, if that’s your thing
The waffles were soo good. And the ice cream melted in my mouth!
They also have cookies for as little as 400 naira!
What I ordered
* Plain Belgian Waffle - 1600
* Gelato ice cream - 1600
* Oreo cookie waffle wand - 2000
* Chocolate Brownie - 800
They let you spin a wheel and win prizes on Fridays, if you spend up to 6000 naira!
📍 37a Ogudu Rd, beside family, ojota lagos
Budget - 2500 and above per head

Is the @westgate.restaurant #12,000 buffet worth it??
Since the upgrade we believed there should be an upgrade in their services hence why we visited.
First, we love the fact that they have a new space more like an extension to accommodate enough people compared to the former. The place is also fully air conditioned. Nothing like heat or whatsoever. So you can choose to dine anywhere you want. Same location but different space.
They have enough now on their menu. A lot of options to choose from and dine. No constraints whatsoever and you can eat as much as you want. No restrictions!
The buffet comes with bottled water. You don’t have to worry about buying anything to drink after eating. You’re entitled to a bottle of water.
We still feel they need to work on their service a bit. No one is perfect but they can strive towards perfection.
Would you be visiting ? Kindly let us know in the comment section.

Cafe ki is located at oju ologbun Vi Lagos.

They open 8am and closes 8pm. Have you been here before, will you be trying out this cozy cafe? Let us know in the comment section.

Ink Lagos is a restaurant located at Agungi, Lagos. It’s a small restaurant located in the same compound as bricks residence.
It can double as a workspace because on request they would give you their Wi-fi password.
They have a bar and a cozy space.
Their customer service was good as the kept apologizing for the food coming late. The food took a little bit over 30 minutes to be ready and their portions were really small.
It was an underwhelming experience as our expectations weren’t met.
Have you been here before? What was your experience? Would you be coming here let’s know in the comments.
💵 10,000-15,000 per head.
Fela Fanatics, get in here! This one is for you🥰
We realized there’s so much more to Fela Anikulapo than him being the person who sang the songs from recent TikTok trends & what better way to learn about him than to visit the Kalakuta Museum which used to be his home.
📍: 7, Gbemisola Street, Ikeja.
We had a tour of the museum which cost N3,000 per head & got to learn about his history from his upbringing to schools he attended, his family, music & his undiluted love for good governance which he expressed through his music & criticized the government at every opportunity he deemed fit regardless of the intense backlash he received.
The museum contains pictures of him, his family, his band members, his room, art representing the things he believed in & a lot of his significant belongings from his typewriter to his keyboard, his shoes & performance clothes & most importantly, his underwear.
The Kalakuta museum also doubles as a hotel where visitors or tourists can lodge in & has a rooftop bar where you can get drinks & relax whether you’re touring the museum or not.
What do you think about Kalakuta Museum? Would you like to visit?

Hey Chop Life Geng! So we found a perfect spot for game lovers. If you’re a big fan of games, pay rapt attention to the details below! 👇🏻
First thing to note, this place is located in Alpha Mall Ogudu. It’s on the second floor by your right hand side (for easy recognition)
It is more of a game spot than a restaurant. They have limited menu so don’t expect too much when you visit. We ordered pasta with turkey and it was just fair. It is a 5/10 for us.
Prices of games varies. You play some free (Ludo, Draft, Ayo Olopon, Jenga e.t.c) while you pay just little amount to play some (Pes5 , Mortal Kombat, Call of duty, Snooker, Chess, e.t.c) and you can play a game for as low as #500 .
Entry is free! You don’t have to pay to enter.
This place is very perfect for games night, or to host games event. You can reach them through their Instagram page for more information.
Kindly let us know what you think about this place in the comment section. Also feel free to drop any question as regards this place.

Jakande Fruit Market, Ketu
This is a very big market on the mainland where varieties of fresh fruits are sold both in large and small quantities.
The market opens every day including Sunday from 4am until 6pm. It is mostly crowded so, you need to be prepared to have a lot of body contact while you’re there.
All the fruits are located in different sections of the market and we checked out the banana section. Orange, pineapple, watermelon, avocados, tangerines, coconuts and pawpaws which are all sold at very affordable prices depending on your budget.
Kindly note that the prices mentioned are not stable and can change at any time.

We visited @pep_nigeria at Ikeja city Mall and their prices were so good!
They have different branches in Lagos, so there’s a high chance there’s one near you
Also, they seem to be running a price slash- many of their items had an orange tag
So you might want to check them out soon!

Hey Chop Life Geng! We recently visited @rhodesbbq at Ikeja and it was a delight.
They’re popularly know for their BBQ and they open Tuesday - Sunday (1pm - 12am) .
Their BBQ comes with a side of your choice. They have Potato salad, coleslaw, fries and bbq beans as sides so you’re free to choose any one of your choice.
We had the bbq half chicken with potato salad. We wanted to try something different from the usual. The potato salad was good. Just a mixture of potatoes and salad. Also their bbq half chicken was not below standard.
Their customer service was excellent for us. Their staffs were accommodating and super friendly.
We totally enjoyed our visit to this place.
Kindly let us know if you’d be visiting.
Is this. @mazimilagos 20k Sunday Buffet worth it?
📍: 82, Ademola Adetokunbo, V.I.
We heard Mazimi Lagos was hosting a 17k Sunday Lunch Buffet so we went there to check it out.
The space is really beautiful, checks all the boxes regarding aesthetics. Every spot is literally picture perfect & there are no pictures or videos restrictions whatsoever. There was a wide range of food & it all tasted so good.
The waiters were quick to assist when we needed help & answer or questions but we soon found out that the price displayed on their Instagram page was no longer valid & there was an price increment to 20 thousand Naira for the buffet excluding drinks & water which we weren’t happy about because we booked a reservation ahead and it wasn’t mentioned but they insisted on the new price apologizing & explaining they had issues with their Instagram page & thereby, couldn’t update the prices.
Asides the miscommunication regarding price & the buffet not being inclusive of any drink, not even water, all the meals we had tasted really good, the service was great & we absolutely enjoyed the serenade.
Do you think it’s worth it ? Let us know in the comments!

We recently discovered this hidden gem called @pizzeriah_lagos 🍕
This spot boasts a cozy ambiance and a staff that radiates friendliness, making for an exceptional dining experience.
Their menu offers a delightful variety of pizza options, and our choice was the ‘Supreme Delight’ pizza, a signature creation. The tangy tomato sauce and generous toppings left our taste buds rejoicing. The crust struck the perfect balance between crispy and chewy, making every bite a delight. Portions were satisfying, and the price, considering the quality and quantity of food, was more than reasonable.
Cost Breakdown:
Pizza: 8,000 NGN (Ideal for 2-3 people)
Drinks: 2,000 NGN each
Total: 12,000 NGN
Location:
📍 13 Musa Yar’ Adua St, Victoria Island 106104, Lagos, Nigeria
