Wow, what a night.
I can’t thank people enough for last night. The performers paying their special tribute to our friend Dale were outstanding. Danielle Mendes Craig Richardson Matthew Lowery David Foster Jayne Mackenzie Steven Charles Stobbs Davey Johns Janine Leigh Steffen Peddie Jessica Porter Rebecca Currie Billy Mitchell Ray Laidlaw Michael Geddes Leigh Geddes Vicky Hawkins Jett Hayden I was so proud of you all and the feedback has been amazing. A big thanks to Cathie Healy Conway Dee Wood Matty and Amber for all your hard work backstage. Jonny Winter and his band Darrin Roll and Tom Dazzling Sounds for the excellent sound and lights.. Also The Exchange 1856 Stuart Egan Sharon Percy for the use of the venue. Andrea, Mal and James Front of house.
It was lovely to see so many familiar faces from industry in the audience.

Can not believe it's only 2 more sleeps until the big night. All of Dale's friends have come together to pay their very own tribute to their special friend. I am in ore of the people that have taken time out of their busy lives to make this all happen. I am sure there will be tears and laughter throughout. I just wish Dale could be there to see it. Tickets are in advance only so you only have a few more hours to secure what is going to be a night to remember. Miss you big lad. We will do you proud. Love Alison ❤️

Northeasts legend Billy Mitchell has been around for a while. In the seventies he founded the seminal Jack the Lad, musically deft & wondrous and also un-hinged.
Half a lifetime with Maxie Peters as the wonderfully wacky Maxie and Mitch., then onto eight years as front man of the legendary Lindisfarne. In 2005 he recorded ‘The Devils Ground’, one enthusiastic review of the album, was noted as – “…one of the finest singers on the planet”.(Pete Fyffe).
As presenter and compere of ‘Sunday for Sammy’, and ‘Teenage Cancer Trust’
concerts, he has performed with Roger Daltrey , Paul Weller, Jools Holland, Mark Knopler, Sting, and Brian Johnson.
Recently, Billy and Ray Laidlaw have been touring with ‘The Lindisfarne Story’, a show documenting the history of the North East’s favourite band, in songs, stories and visuals. Billy tours as one of ‘The Pitmen Poets’ a musical quartet celebrating the coal mining industry and communities of Northumberland and Durham, and as a duo with Bob Fox.
Rare solo performances feature songs and stories from all of Billy’s musical exploits, including his album 'SOLO'

Dave Johns actor, stand up comedian and talented improviser who played the lead role in Ken Loach's feature film 'I, Daniel Blake.
Dave is one of the Uk's best loved stand up comics for the last 4 decades. He is also an award winning film actor and writer. Who has worked world wide and in great demand.
He is taking time out to be part of Dale's night.

I’m currently touring with a show at the minute but I HAVE to be back to play a part in this night which will be so special for everyone involved.

Having worked with Dale for years it’ll be amazing to get a special group of people together to give him this musical send off.

I’m a North East based singing actor with credits with the BBC, ITV, And Films etc. My best credit is working with Dale himself on many pantomimes at the Exchange itself and spending all the rehearsals getting shouted at or laughed at by Dale.

So don’t be a wolly and book your tickets for this absolutely class night. I promise it won’t be Terrid. ❤️

One of our amazing performers Janine Leigh.
Janine was born in South Shields and has recently moved back from London.

Currently on tour with the sell-out show I' Daniel Blake. Janine a life time friend of Dales is so proud to be performing one of his all-time favourite songs.

Janine studied at Newcastle College and Cumbria Institute of the Arts. TV credits include Byker Grove, Tracey Beaker Returns, The Interceptor and ITV’s Vera. Janine also starred alongside Joanne Froggatt in a film for Channel 4, ‘In Our Name’ which was nominated for several awards. Radio includes ‘Believe It’, alongside Richard Wilson and Sir Ian Mckellen for BBC Radio 4.

Janine starred in 3 leading roles in Pantomime with Mendes Management, Directed by Dale.

Previous theatre credits include A Piece of Cake, Who’s Under Where?, Stepping Out, Blithe Spirit and A Night in Provence at The Mill Theatre, Sonning. Other theatre credits include Riot at The Customs House, The Comedy of Errors, Alex, The Warrior and The Winter Star with NTC Touring Theatre Company and Stepping Out at Frinton Summer Theatre.
