The Dougarie Boathouse is a wedding venue on the beach of the Dougarie Estate] on the Isle of Arran. Below are a few FAQs to help you choose your venue:

The Arran ferry is a short 45-minute drive from Glasgow
You can hold your ceremony in the Dougarie Boathouse, on the beach in front of the Dougarie Boathouse, in the castellated area beside the Dougarie Boathouse, on the Lawn or ANYWHERE on the Dougarie Estate.
Each Dougarie Boathouse wedding is tailor-made to your exact specifications - we've got lots of ideas and cannot wait to hear yours.
Stepping Stone photos are optional!
If you are looking for a wedding venue with accommodation options, we have five separate properties within the Dougarie Estate, allowing you to sleep up to 35 people.

Beautiful weddings at the Dougarie Boathouse. Located on the shoreline of the Isle of Arran, the Dougarie Boathouse is unique with its wedding offerings. You and your guests can enjoy a dreamy wedding at the Dougarie Boathouse and then relax within the luxurious Dougarie Estate luxury accommodation. We have various accommodation options across the estate, so your nearest and dearest are close by for the duration of your wedding celebrations.

We are at the Wedding Show this weekend at Glasgow SEC and will have our diary with us if you are looking for a magical winter wedding this year! As we have been operating for less than a year, we still have 2022 availability (at introductory rates too). Christmas and New Year weddings are available, so if you are looking for a winter wonderland for your wedding, come and speak to Jules and Malin on the Dougarie Boathouse stand.

Hosting your wedding at the Boathouse at Dougarie not only means that you have exclusive use of our Boathouse, but you also get access to the . You may choose to stay at the Dougarie Estate before and after your wedding; you also have the opportunity for the most fabulous and dramatic photoshoot locations. We have it all: mountains, lochs, beaches, woodland, far-fetched views, stepping stones, walled gardens, rivers, towers and ruins. Come rain or shine; we can guarantee the most dramatic and stunning locations. It is also more than perfectly acceptable to have all your photos taken within our enchanting Boathouse, which includes exposed beams, fairy lights, sea and mountain views, elegant architecture, manicured lawns, and of course, the beach.

I had the privilege of officiating two ceremonies at the Boathouse at Dougarie Weddings this weekend! ☀️💕

Both ceremonies were outside ☀️ and both involved a quaich ceremony…🥃

Additional elements such as quaich ceremonies or hand fasting are a lovely way to make your ceremony really personal and memorable ❤️

CONGRATULATIONS to the wonderful Fiona and Steve, who got married at the Boathouse at Dougarie in April! They are such a gorgeous couple, and we had so much fun helping them plan their wedding extravaganza!

They organised the sun to shine, the choir to sing, delicious sharing platters to keep everyone going until it was time to sit down, and the cocktails flowed into the early hours. It was such a fantastic day!

When the weather is as fabulous as it has been, a wedding ceremony for you and your guests in the castellated area (on the left of the Boathouse at Dougarie) while looking out to sea is dreamy! We recently had another beautiful wedding, which will be sharing some of the photos for this week, but we thought we'd give you a little sneak peek at the set-up, so you can imagine for yourself how your wedding would look.

Our colourful bar menu was appreciated, worked hard and devoured at the weekend. The laughs, smiles, dancing, games, love and sheer happiness were palpable, and it was such a joy to see. We even have our very own Dougarie Bat Breeze, which was washed down at a great rate of knots.

I had the absolute pleasure of officiating my first ceremony of the season on Saturday at the Boathouse at Dougarie Weddings 💕

The sun shone ☀️, the venue looked amazing, the couple were stunning and the guests were absolutely brilliant and so much fun….🥂❤️🎉

When we say sea views, we really mean sea views! Oh my goodness, what a fabulous weekend we have just had. We can't share it all with you yet, but here is a sneaky preview. The weather was amazing, the wedding was sensational, and we cannot express how much LOVE there was - it was pretty magical!

If you're on the Isle of Arran, you may have driven past and seen the dome to the right of the Boathouse at Dougarie as you face the beach. This was the view from inside the dome marquee.

We don't think we slept for more than six hours over the whole weekend! We'll keep you updated with sneaky little peaks this week xx
