Happy Spooky Season ghosts and ghouls! 👻

Before certain “seasonal employees” joined our team (cough* Mini Michael Myers *cough), spooky decor wasn’t really on our radar! But lately (thanks to some SUPER fun projects we have on the go this month!), we have come to embrace all things Halloween.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again... we absolutely LOVE when couples include lounge furniture in their day! Lounges are one of our fave things to design and we love how our go-to lounge pieces can be styled in so many ways. Changing out accent decor (think pillows, candles, rugs!) is an easy way to personalize a lounge to compliment the theme and colour palette of any event.

Case in point, this lounge was designed with pops of yellow for J + T’s citrus-themed wedding ! 💛 🩷

One of our most-rented inventory items are our Art Deco Gold Shelves. Most commonly used as champagne shelves, we’ve also seen them used to hold a variety of wedding and party favours (plants, popcorn, candy jars!), as a dessert station, a floral bar, and as back bar shelving.

We recently added similar shelving in matte black to our inventory and we can’t wait to see them in action!

sweetheart·table: a “head table” built for two, shared by the wedding couple alone instead of the entire wedding party

At Beholden, we LOVE a good sweetheart table! As the celebrated couple, it gives you a chance to sit back and take everything in and provides the opportunity for moments of alone time on what is otherwise an insanely busy day. Plus, it makes for some pretty epic decor possibilities! 😉

Looking to make a statement with your wedding decor? Explore your lighting options! These rattan pendant lamps were a stunning addition to K + S’s wedding. Our talented colleague, Safety Man (AKA Sarah’s husband, Roger, our resident ladder expert and health + safety advisor!), skillfully hung them inside the tent, adding an incredible focal point to the reception.

✨Out of Office✨

Our team will be out of the office from Friday, May 24 until Tuesday, May 28 as we set sail for a pretty epic wedding on Bowen Island. We can’t WAIT to share some of the images from this day and stay tuned for some fun BTS content.

We’re SO excited to announce that our little team is growing! 🙌

While you may recognize Maddy’s face from her past three summers with Beholden, after this summer she is here to stay! Maddy has accepted a position as our Operations Manager, and will become the first permanent, full time employee of the company. YAY! In this role, she will oversee all of our inventory, manage day-to-day operations, and handle our team scheduling.

Maddy has been the star of some of our most fave socials posts so be sure to say ‘hi’ as she pops back on here, and when you see her out and about this wedding season (which kicks off in just a few short weeks)!
