RCPC has put forward proposals for minor traffic management measures and would like to hear your views. A Consultation is now underway on proposals for Woodhouse Lane, Redhill Road (by the mini-roundabout system) and Finchdean Road and Redhill Road (approaching The Green).

The plans have been designed and approved by Hampshire Highways, under Hampshire County Council’s Community-Funded Initiative, which allows local communities to fund straightforward, minor traffic management measures within a very limited framework.

The Consultation will be on the Agenda for discussion at the next RCPC meeting on Monday 2nd September at 7pm, and you are welcome to come along and comment in person at the meeting if you haven't done so in writing beforehand. The meeting will be held in the small Parish Hall.

Let’s work together to protect our wildlife from the invading Asian hornet!

The non-native Asian or yellow-legged hornet is an invasive species first seen in Britain in 2016. For the first time in history, Asian Hornets have survived their first winter in the UK. Their numbers are increasing rapidly and are posing a deadly threat to many British insects – including our honey bees. Did you know – an Asian hornet can eat up to 50 bees a day!😔 They wait outside bee hives and grab worker bees as they come and go.

They typically build their nest in the open - often on tree branches in the foliage. The nest is patterned, which probably helps to disguise it among the leaves.

We can all do our bit to help stop the spread of these ‘murder’ hornets. If you spot one - please report it via https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-app-to-report-asian-hornet-sightings

The picture will help you identify them. As you can see - they are much darker (almost black) compared to our native varieties.

Talking of colour, did you see the Aurora? Or like me, did you know nothing about it and just simply went to bed! 😬🤦‍♀️
That’ll teach me for deciding not to watch the news anymore!
I’m not gonna lie, I’m just a bit gutted …. Anyway, here’s the pretty pink cloud as the sun went down, taken on the night of the missed Aurora 😂🤪😘

Well good morning Thursday and how utterly gorgeous is this weather?
Wall to wall sunshine and we even have the paddling pool out for Archie, such fun!
My gorgeous hand painted clutch bags are just waiting to be snapped up and the colours are just singing in this beautiful light….
I’m going to paint some more next week, what colours do you love? I hope you all enjoy some sunshine today and the weekends looking fabulous too… hoorah!
