HIRE A DJ THAT KNOWS HOW TO RUN THE SOUND AT YOUR CEREMONY!

If you're getting married in Palm Springs or the surrounding area, chances are you've got family coming in from out of town. They didn't travel all the way out here to not be able to hear all that lovey-dovey stuff you and your new spouse are saying to each other. Make sure that grandma can hear everything going on!

Can you see the mics in this pic? Using lapel mics not only provides good, clean sound but also keeps everything hands free and ensures all your ceremony pictures look perfect!

We absolute LOVE it when a bride has fun with all of her guests on the dance floor. It's also the best way to ensure your guests stay on the dance floor as well. You are the centerpiece of the evening, and where you go, your guests will follow!

Your this week is about your grand entrance! Couples sometimes ask us:

Should we do one?
Should it be the whole wedding party?
What music should we use?

Here's our advice: You should DEFINITELY do one! How many people are involved is totally up to you, but you should definitely go for it. Not only is it fun, but it's a definitive signal that cocktail hour is over and the reception is starting. Without those indications, all the different parts of the wedding can run together and make the whole affair seem much longer than it should.

As far as music goes, pick something fun and upbeat that showcases you and your new spouse's personality!

: A lot of couples ask us when they should have their first dance. My first piece of advice is to always listen to your wedding planner if you've hired one! But if you want a DJs advice, we always suggest doing it right after the grand entrance. It's a perfect time because you're already together, your guests are already paying attention to you, and your vendor team is ready to go!

Anyway, here's your motivation this week for an epic wedding dance floor! If you're the bride and groom, get out there and dance with your friends & family! It ensures everyone has a good time and it's THE BEST way to make sure your guests get on the dance floor too!

Bass & Bliss is looking to add a DJ to it's expanding roster! Work would cover mainly weddings with the occasional corporate event or private party. Most gigs would be in the Palm Springs/Joshua Tree area with occasional travel beyond that.

Hours are flexible with the ability to work on your own schedule. Experience with weddings is not required but highly preferred.

This is a great opportunity for a DJ to earn good money while gaining valuable experience.

: There aren't many hard and fast do's & do not's when it comes to your wedding. But one thing is for sure - the fewer interruptions in the middle of your dance floor, the better! If you want your cake cutting to be announced, it's best to do it before the dancing starts!
