Merry Merry to All,

Just a short note to let you know that John's son, Eric is leaving town today (Friday 12/22) so John will be home alone, although not b***y trapping his home to prevent visitors. He would love to have visitors for a couple of hours a day. If you are able to visit with John for a couple of hours, please call the day before to arrange a time and to make sure he doesn't have a medical appointment. Thank you so much for your help with our friend.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Greetings,
I have wonderful news to report. John has made great progress and will be going home tomorrow.
While he will be using a walker to get around, he will be doing so in his own home and community. Will Owen arrived last night so John has two of his sons here to help him adjust to home living.
I know we are all grateful that our Louisville Treasure has done so well and is headed home. Your thoughts, well wishes, concerns and prayers were most appreciated. He felt the love this community has for him.

Homefront friends,
I am happy to report that John has been sprung from the hospital and is now at Nazareth on Newburg Rd. for rehab. He is progressing well and knows he has the support of most of Louisville supporting his recovery. He will call Room 282 at Nazareth home for the next week or so.

Keep your loving, healing thoughts headed to John as he continues his recovery.

From John Gage:

Michael Logsdon and I have conspired to create a “Homefront Revisited” day at the Douglass Loop Farmers Market this coming Saturday Oct 22, 2022 from 10:00am till 2:00pm. Music is free; tips for artists are much appreciated. Come celebrate a delightful blending of music culture and agriculture, two ancient art forms.

Artists will perform 2-3 songs each until 1:00pm when I will take the stage with horn player extraordinaire, Bruce Krohmer:
Here’s a list of artist who have agreed to play (not necessarily in this order):
Kim D'Amato,
Bill Clark,
Pat Younger,
John Harris,
Ken Lucchese,
Bill Ede,
Phil Ragland
Leigh Anne Yost
Bernadette Mudd-White
Tyrone Cotton
Phillip Cherry & Gage
Bruce Khromer & Gage
