Vera is approximately 8 years old, 70ish solid pounds of love and snuggles, UTD on shots, spayed, house broken, and move in ready! 🏡

⭐️Vera has been with us since May 2023, after being found tied to a bench outside the city shelter. Once she was settled in foster and was able to see our vet, it was determined that both her CCLs were torn a very long time ago and needed to be fixed. Vera endured 2 TPLO surgeries(one for each leg) nd is as good as new!⭐️

🎄Vera would really love a home of her own for the holidays🎄

💃All About Vera💃

💥Vera is dog selective, she would do best in a home with no other pets
💥Due to Vera's age and medical history she is on Gabapentin daily(less than $20/m) and Dosequin($30/2m) - 2 months of Gabapentin sponsored for an approved adopter
💥Vera does not have a concept of how large she is. Due to this, kids aged 7+ recommended - SHE LOVES KIDS!
💥Currently, she sleeps in bed with her foster mom but does need stairs to help her up
💥During the summer and fall, you will find her snoozing in the sun rays of the back deck or in the yard☀️
💥No cats for this pretty lady!🐈‍⬛️
💥Favorite toy is any sort of ball
💥Currently eating Purina Pro sensitive skin and stomach
💥Fake Fireplace(or real one) a requirement for the winter
💥Velcro dog

Vera is an absolutely stunning senior lady with a wicked sense of humor that will keep you on your toes. She deserves the very best home, and we want to find that for her.

Miss. Vera is approximately 6/7 years old. She was found last May tied to a bench outside of the city shelter, with old and severe injuries. In the little over a year she has been with us, she has undergone 2 TPLO surgeries to correct these injuries, and she has healed wonderfully! She does take a gabapentin at night to help her sleep and prevent any aches and pains($30/month).

Vera's ideal forever home would have a person or persons she can be with as much as possible. She loves being with her person.

Vera is dog selective, and we do not know how she is with cats.

We recommend Vera be around kids over the age of 8, only due to her size and her lack of spatial awareness(she thinks she's 8lb, not 60lbs).

This lady is completely potty trained and can be left alone for 8 hours with no problems.

Vera is game to walk 2 miles a day as long as there is a treat and a nap as a reward!

Her favorite toys are balls, rope toys, benebones, and stuffies that she can destroy in minutes.

During these summer months, she enjoys hanging by a bonfire with her foster mom, and during the winter she enjoys a comfy sweater and a fireplace heater!

Vera loves to lounge around on her doggie bed and relaxing throughout the day.

She does sleep in bed with her foster but needs stairs to assist her up as most jumping is still a little tough. If she doesn't have a running start, she will need a boost for car rides as well!

Vera is incredibly smart, willing to learn, and always looking to please her person(s).
