This coming SUNDAY and MONDAY for THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER (starting at 6:30pm). Roles for BOTH KIDS ages 8-13 (suggested) and ADULTS!! Wonderfully funny show!

And coming up in a month, auditions for TERRA NOVA on November 3th and 4th (starting at 7pm). Terra Nova is a dramatization of the TRUE STORY of the 1910-1912 race to the South Pole by British navel officer, Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Norwegian explorer, Roald Amundsen.
Roles for 6 men and 1 woman. English accents (or close) required, and one suggested Norwegian accent. Sides will be available soon.

I just had the privilege of seeing PROJECT SANKOFA at the Powerhouse Theatre in Waveny Park as part of Broadway Bound Theatre Festival-2024. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and come see it before it moves to off-Broadway (which is bound to happen!!). Terrific actors, wonderful script, delightful humor. As good as it gets!!!

This is the WORLD PREMIERE, so you can say you saw it when.

SOOOOO EXCITED for our FIRST EVER LADIES NIGHT OUT!!! We (at Town Players of New Canaan) are starting our Ladies Out series with a COMEDY SHOW, with headliner PATTY ROSBOROUGH (www.pattyrosborough.com).

Who better to entertain you than Patty Rosborough who was the 2000 Ladies of Laughter Professional Winner. She is now a top headlining comic in the country and has been seen on Showtime, Comedy Central, and BBC's The World Stands Up. You may know her from hosting Short Attention Span Theater with Jon Stewart back in the day.

Along with Patty is: Molly Kornfeld the 2022 NYC Comedy Fest "Comic to Watch" , and Cimmi Galore, guaranteed to surprise you.

THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES - So happy to finally get the Wonderettes to our theatre! It's adorable, fun, nostalgic show with loads of songs from the 50s and 60s you know and love... sung in harmonies. As we only have a two weekend slot for September, we teamed up with Norwalk’s Crystal Theatre to revive their recent short run of this show… so the same fabulous actresses will be performing again! I’m personally looking forward to seeing this show again! SEPTEMBER 6-15 (TWO WEEKENDS ONLY!)

Thanks to Tom Nissley for the first glowing review of Sarah Ruhl’s EURYDICE at Town Players of New Canaan's, Powerhouse Theatre in Waveny Park.

SUPERB EURYDICE at the POWERHOUSE THEATRE

I was lucky enough to preview the Town Players' production of Sara Ruhl's "Eurydice" on the Powerhouse stage. It runs from June 7 to 23. (Fridays to Sundays). Don't miss it. It's a beautiful re-telling of the story of Orpheus and Eurydice who loved and lost when Eurydice died and Orpheus attempted to follow her into the underworld, only to lose her again when he looked at her before she could follow him to the place of the living. Complete with allusions to the River Styx and memory loss and confusion.

The production keeps some of the Alice in Wonderland seating, reducing the upper space to a more workable platform.

Costumes, set, lighting are great. But it is the exquisite acting of Eric Dino and Sally Rose Zuckert and River Glassberg that you will recall most vividly.
