I’m outraged, in transit at Munich airport from Cairo To London, at the boarding gates two very white police officers stopped the gentleman and his family behind us, which happened to be a bearded (obviously Muslim) to check their documents and where they are going. The gentleman was very cooperative and didn’t complaint. I couldn’t help myself and I voiced out that this obvious discrimination so I got told by the border control officer that it’s an airport and it’s formal to have random search. (Oh yeah)
F**k you and your fu***ng random search, I’m done with Europe.

DJ Soulprovyder is the founding member of the 4totheFloor and Soul Solution Sound Systems, ‘Purveyors of fine funk, bespoke beats & organic afro latin grooves that have put on regular events at various venues such as Rhythm Factory, Cargo, Juno, Babalou and Gramaphone.

A record collector then dj since 1991 DJ Soulprovyder originally started off playing 70s soul funk jazz and rare groove but his current sets include a selection of past and present music with a flexibility to join the dots and cross over many musical genres, journeying from his disco and afro latin jazz funk roots to a more deeper electronic/tech house sound.

DJ Soulprovyder has played at many venues across London over the years including Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Café, Koko, Sketch, East Village, Momo’s, and The Supperclub to name a few as well as festivals such as the Isle of Wight and V Festival and last year had the honor of being asked to dj at the legendary Southport Weekender.

He was one of the residents at the Sunsplash Festival in Turkey since its inception in 2009 playing alongside artists and djs such as Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Phil Asher, AtJazz, and Shuya Okino. His passion for the festival which is now in its sixth year secured him a place on the line up in June 2014 where Zara McFarlene, Osunlade, Gilles Peterson, and Karizma were headlining.

“The Suitcase”

We all carry a story—woven from our past and heritage—traveling along parallel tracks. Whether inherited or self-crafted, these threads of experience shape our view of the world and how we interact with it. Our thoughts are tools, and those tools build our reality. What we choose to pack in our suitcase becomes the essence of our journey.

The influences I carry have guided my evolution as an artist, pushing me to experiment with new techniques. My latest artwork reflects this growth, blending the old and the new, and honoring the elements that have shaped my creative path.

So proud to have Buddha Triangle in the line-up.

Described as life affirming and ebullient, Buddha Triangle is funky, fun, unconcerned with the traditional rules of commerciality and the beating heart of the party you don’t want to miss. Their music is all original material written by lead singer Sam Margerison and the band, ranging from reggae and jazz, funk to rock and rap. Their tunes are catchy and thought provoking telling stories of modern life with humour and social awareness. Their live performances are guaranteed to engage and entertain with plenty of ad-libbing improvisation and audience participation. Expect to dance! No show is ever the same but always fun and an unforgettable experience! Buddha Triangle are based in Hastings and Brighton where they play regularly in venues large and small. They are about to release their first album S*x, Love and Food. This was recorded and engineered by Savage Sound in Hastings and mixed by the highly acclaimed Bobby Holland in Nashville.
