Hi friends, come spend a Monday morning with me!

If your like me and love a good DITL then I hope you enjoy this little behind the scenes.

A typical work day for me usually starts with trying to get myself and three boys ready for the day! That can be an ordeal in itself. This time of year is always hard for me - I love to wake up before the kids to have time to myself but I find myself sleeping in more in the cold months.

I always make my bed because it makes me feel good to have a tidy space! Clutter and messes make it hard for me to think straight and feel less productive.

I will usually gather up the essentials and then head to the basement -aka the studio to start working! I will usually be working while listening to country or something fun. Occasionally I will watch a show while I reconstruct flowers.

After a few hours of working I head up for lunch! I try to meal prep 1 thing for lunch for the week. Otherwise I’ll be grabbing whatever and we know that’s not going to be healthy 🤣

I sit and enjoy the complete silence because all the kids are at school or Mimi’s. It’s heaven.

Back to work, film content, send emails, edit content and try to get a few things done around the house before it’s time to go get the little people!

Hi, I’m Lauren ✨👋🏻—the heart and designer behind Heirloom Blooms!

If you’ve been following me for a while, thank you! If you’re new to my page, welcome, seriously so happy to have you here!

Life’s been a beautiful mix of chaos and creativity as a stay-at-home mom to three wild and (wonderful) boys, and now a full-time preserver of love stories.

My passion lies in taking something fleeting, like wedding florals, and transforming it into something timeless and meaningful.

As a military kid, I grew up moving from place to place, soaking up different cultures and experiences before finally planting roots here in Maryland. That wandering heart has never left me—I still love traveling, hiking, and discovering new adventures (and dragging my boys along with me!)

When I’m not pressing petals, you’ll find me diving into DIY projects, dreaming up home decor ideas, or just chasing the next creative spark.

Random facts about me:
I love my toast extra crispy, but not burnt! I always knew I would have boys, McDonald’s coke is superior, I collect holiday Christmas villages, I share a birthday with my sister exactly 4 years apart (Dec 27) Capricorn girlies, I don’t know how to sit still and I am always looking for a project!

It’s that time of year where we are all looking for the “perfect unique gift” for our loved ones.

Maybe it’s just me, but I always struggle every year to find something meaningful and thoughtful. I personally love giving a gift that people aren’t expecting!

I’ve been working on so many add-on mini frames with my latest orders. Not to mention, a few special requests, like the monogram frame!

The mini frames can make the perfect wedding day thank you gift for grandma or mom too!

The bouquet was created by who has created countless stunning arrangements over the past year—and this time, it was for her son’s wedding!

I still cannot get over this dreamy bouquet!

I had to share some of the before and afters because the brides mom was her florist and did such a phenomenal job! .rogers.92754

Mini Life Update: ✨

We spent the past few days at the lake enjoying some R&R this week with family. Let me tell you, it was just what I needed!

Sometimes all you need is a chance to slow down and reset.
I had been feeling uninspired and a bit overwhelmed to be honest lately! Having my kids home for summer and balancing my business has been interesting.

💐 How things are going with Heirloom Blooms:

Most of you likely don’t know this but I started Heirloom Blooms as a hobby at the start of 2023- by summer last year I decided that I wanted to go full force into doing this and I spent many nights, days, and hours working on starting this business.

2024 is the first full year of business for us where things started to pick up and really take off! It’s been a learning curve for me, balancing what I can take on and manage.

I always delve deep when taking on a project because I am a bit of a perfectionist. They don’t tell you all the nitty gritty when starting a business and it’s not always pretty and fun like what you see on the outside!

But I will say, this “growing” year was what I needed to be able to find my boundaries, set my limits for what I want and where I want to take things!

Personally:

Things have been fun! My youngest is almost 2 and if you have kids you know that they are slowly leaving the baby stage. He is starting to do the “big kid things” like his brothers, which makes it so much easier for us. I’ve been pregnant, postpartum or had a newborn for the last 6+ years so it’s a very nice feeling to step into the next chapter!

We have lots of travel plans in the near future and are making that a priority in the next few years.

I’ve spent more time this year focusing on myself and doing things for me. Being a mom is a demanding job and I made it a point to make myself a priority. I started pushing myself outside my comfort zone to make friends (hello introvert!) and I started working out and trying to eat in a more balanced way! Just little small changes that over time have changed how I feel and I still have lots to work on but it’s been good!

A little BTS of our pressing process. 🌸💍 it typically takes about 3-4 Months from start to finish.

We meticulously press each flower from your bridal bouquet to capture its beauty forever. Our process begins with careful disassembly of certain flowers and then pressing the blooms to maintain their vibrant colors and details.

The drying process takes about 6-8 weeks. We then reassemble select flowers, color correct any that need it and begin on a design! We always send over a design draft for approval before finalizing your forever flowers!

Want to know a secret?… Sometimes I really struggle with designs. I’ve never shared this video because I just wasn’t happy with the design and you can see I was struggling. There are times when I have to walk away and come back to it later. That’s okay, because I come back feeling refreshed and inspired and it all works out in the end.
