🎤Being an emcee, you’d think it’s all about announcing names. But there’s so much more from welcoming introductions to also—

-being day-of coordinator
-communicating with the bridal party
-thinking on your toes for sudden announcements
-time-managing
-pronunciations, voice tone, and more…

Key thing is to enjoy what you love to do.

While it may seem hectic and intimidating on stage for some, it’s something I love to do because it exercises so many personal qualities for an event that’s meant to be one of the most memorable times of anyone’s life.

Find what you love to do, and everything it involves becomes so much easier.

🗣 The power of voice exists for each of us. Each day. Each moment. Whether it’s with a family member, a friend, or a room full of people. The sound of your voice and your thoughts literally can send goosebumps up and down someone’s spine. Can cause a feeling to shift. Or a mood to uplift.

And you don’t have to force it. You don’t have to change it. Your voice is unique to you, all from just being born the way you are. There’s no need to stand out. You just ARE. And that stands out well enough on its own: all through the power of your voice.

Might sound cheesy, but it’s plain and simple…Don’t underestimate your voice.

🎉Congrats to all the performers who worked their butts of to prepare and took the courage to share their voice with the crowd!

‼️Remember, the Assyrian Community Center cultivates and encourages more Assyrians to take part in expressing your voice and ideas in the theater!

It was an honor, a blast, and a privilege all in one to be the MC for Alex and Peter’s wedding! 🎤

🎉Congrats to both of you as newly weds! I have to admit, I was so tired the following day from this wedding because of how energetic and fun it was.

400-500 people at a banquet can make your wedding party feel overwhelming.

So here’s a smooth sequence I’ve used in previous Assyrian weddings that can help! Feel free to borrow and share with others. Remember! This is just a template. Weddings can be unpredictable. So use this and adapt it to fit your wedding party.

Assyrians typically have hundreds of people at 1 wedding. You might have a few dozen, and this might all change. And it’s all good. As long you use it in a way that works for you, that’s the point

Relatable?

We’ve all been there: the occasional late entrance of bringing out the bride and groom. It happens. Sometimes the wedding party doesn’t go exactly as planned. But the most important thing to do is stay in communication, manage time based on unexpected events, and most of all, have a good time!

Lol but what would you do if it were that late. Continue with the entrance, or wait?
