Alexia is a performing artist who teaches and entertains around the Manawatu. With a bachelor degree specialising in musical theatre, Alexia is no stranger to entertaining crowds big and small. She is a vocalist for special events with a set list ranging from acoustic covers to kiwi classics, and she can emcee at the drop of a hat. Alexia is quite possibly the perfect addition to your event with her friendly attitude and wicked sense of humour.

Introducing the Speakeasy team – Tracy and Rodney, husband and wife team. We live in Palmerston North – and have both always lived in the Manawatu!

Rodney works in IT by day and known as the Speakeasy technical director.
Tracy, aka Speakeasy’s creative director also works as a Quality Analyst.
This is a side hustle for us, and we love to be busy!

Speakeasy has a sizeable inventory comprising over 200 items covering the basics (tables, chairs/covers, cloths, plates, cutlery, glasses), bigger items (arbours, backdrops, fairy lights/curtains), through to an extensive range of styling products (candle holders, table runners, vases, centre pieces, mirrors). We’re adding inventory items continuously.

Tracy has always been keen to own her own business. She loves to plan within an inch and style up a storm, and Rodney is always her right-hand man. We love creating events that memories are made of – whether it is a small intimate dinner party, a significant birthday, party to celebrate an engagement or wedding, baby or bridal shower, the opportunities are endless.

Aligning Speakeasy with the work Tracy and Rodney did for their own gorgeous wedding ceremony and reception in January 2020, it’s the perfect marriage to join the existing Speakeasy inventory with the items purchased for their own wedding.

Working alongside you to understand your overall “style” for your event, and how we can help you achieve that, using our inventory.

Did you hear Tracy from Speakeasy Events chatting to Mike & Gareth about The Wedding Project on More FM Manawatu 92.2 this morning? It’ll be on air again @ 8.45am if you missed it!

Tracy is the co-owner of Speakeasy Events with her husband Rodney. Tracy has a Business Management Degree, a Teaching Diploma, and a Business Analyst background.

Tracy and Rodney planned their own wedding held at the beginning of 2020, so she is very familiar with local venues, vendors, and all the planning required for the big day.
Speakeasy has a sizeable inventory comprising over 200 items covering the basics (tables, chairs/covers, cloths, plates, cutlery, glasses), bigger items (arbours, backdrops, fairy lights/curtains), through to an extensive range of styling products (candle holders, table runners, vases, centre pieces, mirrors).
