We have had a lot of questions regarding the person who was attacked by an alligator in the early morning hours today at Taylor and the possibility of that persons affiliation with out company and/or our event this past weekend.

Let us be clear, we do not condone or support anyone entering any of the waters at any of our local courses. Not only is it dangerous, but in most cases, it is also prohibited by the park. The gentleman who was attacked is a notorious disc retriever in the area who has previously been caught by park officials wading in the water (which would explain the 5am time frame for this happening). This individual is in no way, shape or form affiliated with Gulf Coast Events & Promotions or any of it's high quality branded events.

Update for the first stop of the Gulf Coast Tour Challenge regarding coronavirus. At this time, all Gulf Coast Events & Promotions Events will go on as scheduled.

As of today - March 13th, 2020, there is no intention to cancel or postpone the first stop of the Gulf Coast Tour Challenge @ Maximo Park on March 28th. Our staff is closely monitoring the rapidly developing situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic and working with our local health authorities and parks departments to ensure we are providing everyone a fun and SAFE experience. With this being a Flex Start event, it gives us the ability to more closely manage interaction between participants and avoid having a "large gathering".

We will provide further updates as they are made available. Please stay tuned to the Gulf Coast Charity Open page for further details.

Should any player wish to drop due to the coronavirus, a full cash refund will be provided regardless of when the player drops.

Our first reveal (because we gotta build excitement!!!!) is a premium disc from MVP Disc Sports or Axiom Discs. Players will get to choose between a Fission Tesla or Proton Insanity.
Fission plastic is great for those rainy or humid days, with a grippier feel.
Proton is the more durable of MVP family plastics, creating a slightly more stable finish in the flight.

Gulf Coast Events & Promotions staff is out at the 2020 Al Sampsell Ice Bowl hosted by the Nature Coast Disc Golf Club volunteering for another amazing charity event.

This annual doubles event benefits the Citrus United Basket. CUB provides food and other services for those in need in Citrus county.
