Job Vacancy **Senior Sous Chef**
About the Role
We're currently seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Sous Chef to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing multiple kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, working closely with the kitchens team, and assisting in training and cooking duties. Collaboration with the front-of-house team is crucial to ensure the delivery of high-quality food and impeccable service to our customers. Your responsibilities will also include rostering, managing labour and food costs, as well as overseeing stock management, including rotation and ordering of supplies. Additionally, having catering experience would be highly beneficial, given that we are the largest catering company in the area.
• Have at least 3 years kitchen experience on this role
• Working hour 8am-5pm, 5 days (sometimes longer hour if we have function)
• Ensure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish which leaves the kitchen.
• Maintain quality in everything you do, including kitchen equipment, inventory, and food preparation.
Key Qualities:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Chef +
• Ability to create inspirational and on trend menus
• Ability to manage all food and wage costs
• Work within budgets
• Set standards and ensure the team maintain them
• Excellent planning & organising skills
• Motivate and lead the team around you
• Excellent knowledge of Food & Safety requirements
